Gut Check: The Microbiome Game

We really enjoy this game. It's good nerdy fun. The game has enough complexity to be interesting, with lots of different strategic decisions one could make, yet my 12 year old daughter mastered it quickly. One could quibble with the accuracy of the implied underlying science, but as a balance between scientific accuracy and an engaging board game I think they've done quite well.

My 9yo son and I LOVE this game! I’m a microbiome nerd and it’s a really fun way for kids to learn more about their gut bugs. It's complex enough to be able to use strategy and uses legit science in the game structure. SO much fun!

A fun and scientifically accurate game. You don't need any medical knowledge to play, but can learn little tidbits of info on different bacteria, etc. We loved it!

Great game to play with my peers (medstudents) and my nieces and nephews

As medical students that love nerdy games, this meets our needs for a fun game that is also technically accurate! Instructions are a little confusing, but the online videos help. Great game play with strategy that feels similar to contagion. Awesome game to receive as a gift.
