O2-Cool Carabiner Water Misting Fan, Colors May Vary (1 Fan Included)

This works great when one is in the great outdoors and wants to avoid heat exhaustion, heat stroke etc. Worked really great for me. Feels solid. Just was not impressed with the wanna be carabiner. Could have done without it, low low quality. The rest was great. Of course drinking fluids, having a hat, sunglasses and other precautions should not be ignored. If one no choice but to be out in brutal heat this is a must have IMHO.

I ordered three misting fans for each of my kids to take to Disney. I received two blue and one aqua. These fans use a AA battery (not included) for the fan to work. The water reservoir holds 1 1/2 oz of water. The fan works fine and will run consistently with a slide switch. If you want water, you have to squeeze a lever on the side each time you want a “mist.” I would not call this a mist, it is more like taking a regular spray bottle and squirting yourself. The water comes out and it is really hit or miss if you will get a direct shot or if it will bounce off the foam fan blade. I will attach a picture so you can see where the water nozzle is in relation to the fan blade. The lever to squeeze for water is awkward and sometimes my hand bumped the foam blade when I tried to get a spritz. Overall, it will get the job done on a hot day, but it is really a spray bottle with a fan blade attached. If you are looking for a delicate mist, this item is not for you. I will also attach a photo of the size, as it is about equivalent to a DVD. The carabiner that comes with it is a weak plastic that I suspect will break on the first day. I will likely replace it with a small aluminum one prior to our trip, as I plan to clip them to our backpack.

I got this based on the reviews.cons:In the description it says Blue, Red, Green. I got pink!?The fan did not stay on, I had to hold down the switch to make it work.The water spraying barely worked. It was like playing Russian Roulette to get a spray.I am sure I am one of the unlucky ones but still, you cant choose color? Bad product.

I purchased two of these for a trip to Disney World last week. It was late July so I knew it would be extremely hot and, given that I already had enough things to carry around, did not want to add to my load by carrying one of the large plastic spray bottles with a fan. These little guys were the perfect answer. They are compact, easy to hook onto a belt loop, and remarkably effective. To be fair, the cooling power is a bit less than the larger versions but the convenience and diminutive size made up for the slightly poorer performance (my niece had one of the larger ones so I compared them). My husband loved his too. He complained at first and said we didn't need these but stopped protesting once we were standing in that hot Florida sun! This was a very good purchase. I highly recommend.

We took our misting fan to both Hawaii and Disneyland, during the summer.The last time we were at Disneyland, we saw a lot of people carrying those mister fans that you can buy in the parks. However, those run you at least $20 from what I can remember. Theirs are also quite large, not something I would want to have to take on rides. So we decided we wanted to get a misting fan for ourselves for this year's trip to Disneyland.This fan is definitely portable, which is a great feature. We easily took this on our plane. The spray feature pretty much only works when the fan is turned on, otherwise the blades block the water from coming out. The fan is not a very strong fan, but I wouldn't really expect it t be in something this size. It is however strong enough that when you spray the water on you and blow the fan, you feel something. You just really have to hold the fan right up to you. The mist is very, well, misty. It's very small droplets of water, so you're not getting at all drenched. You have to spray yourself a lot to get cooled off. Since it only takes one AA battery, the power can run down and it definitely affects the fan. It lasted us on our two week trip, but definitely lost power towards the end. The water level was good, and only had to fill up once throughout the day with moderate use.Overall this fan kept us cool enough on VERY hot days, and the portability of the fan really outweighed the mediocrity of the fan's power.

I am not kidding when I say this little fan saved my life at adventure camp with my 5th grader. It was beyond hot and this was easily attached to my backpack so I was able to keep the kids cooled off and myself as well. I mostly hogged it to myself - thank goodness most of the kids didn't need it very often. I would have felt terrible. Now I take it with me everywhere inside my purse pocket, and use it whenever and wherever I need it, and honestly I have no shame. If I'm hot, I pull this bad boy out of my purse and crank it up. No matter where we are, I usually have a bottle of water or can find water for the spritzer to work as well. Have to go now and crank up my fan...
