Essential for all non-engraved Littmann stethoscopes!
When my old Littmann Master Cardiology stethoscope had to be retired due to cracked tubing after 9 years of clinical use, I had to use my spare Littmann Cardiology IV stethoscope as my main set of tubes. The only problem was that this stethoscope does not have my name engraved which rendered it at high risk of loss if I accidentally left it on an anaesthetic machine or in a clinical room. I have asked a number of engravers but none were prepared to engrave my Littmann stethoscope so this left the Littmann ID tag as the next best solution.It offers the option of handwriting my name on a white piece of card, which I have done. There is also a metallic tag that can be engraved but I found that was expensive.So far, it does has done a good job of identifying my stethoscope!

It works - But engravable plate, isn't!
Pro's:Looks Okay.Easy to install.Seems to be a fairly universal fit for standard steth's.Con's:Once it's on, it's problem to get off.Point of caution:Engravable plate... IS NOT ENGRAVABLE!I took mine to a local engravers who took one look at it and laughed. Wouldn't touch it. Said the first thing that would happen is that it would ruing the engraving machine. It's neither thick enough for sturdy enough to be engraved. At a push, apparently, you may get it laser etched, but that'd just as likely melt the thin plastic.

liked the style. price is better than ebay...Writing area (name pad ) not very excellent for ballpoint pen. Need to use ink pens/pencils.
