Phenomenal upgrade to my SteelSeries Arctis Nova Elites
Amazing, truly phenomenal upgrade to my SteelSeries Arctis Nova Elites that offers next-level comfort for longer gaming sessions. Huge shoutout to GadgetryTech for designing these masterpieces. Starting with the good (Spoiler, it’s mostly good with these): 1) The installation was easy (at first I couldn’t get them to snap in, even watching the video but literally just a few minutes of trying succeeded in fully snapping them in). 2) No more sweaty vegan leather, no more over-tightened feel on my head. The stock ear pads add a distinct suction-cup feeling when they’re worn (which for the stock ear pads this clamping feeling apparently loosens over time but it’s a bizarre feeling that I did not enjoy at all). This point was the main reason that I immediately sought out replacement ear pads and eventually came to these Stealthz after a ton of research. 3) GadgetryTech’s custom EQ settings were easy to download and apply— I’ve favorited the EQ presets for ANC off (my primary go-to), ANC on (just in case I need it), and the treble reduction one (probably won’t need but might as well have it). ANC-off far and away sounds the best so far IMO. Okay so for the “bads” these aren’t so much “bad” and they are mandatory trade offs with creating these types of ear pads: 1) The weight increase is slightly noticeable, but 💯 percent this ever so slightly heavier feel is a worthy trade off. Also the weight increase with these is significantly less than the WC gel-cooling ear pads. The suspension head strap does help with this, but it also feels like it’s taking on more of the weight distribution when these are installed. Again, I’m most definitely not returning these due to the weight, but it’s worth noting. 2) Also peak volume is a little bit down since these (by design) don’t seal around the ears as much as the stock vegan leather ear pads, in addition to the thicker pads making the headphones slightly further away from your head. At first I didn’t want to enable the volume booster, but after some testing I’ve switched this to max. Don’t sleep on these because of this, however— it just requires some EQ tuning and these are specifically designed to enhance FPS performance (which I think they do). UPDATE: Okay so a few weeks in now and I’ve completely forgot about the weight difference compared to the stock. It feels way more comfortable anyways and the bit of extra weight is just the new normal now. I don’t want to keep harping on FPS games, but that’s really all that I use these for— I have a Razer Leviation V2 soundbar / woofer combo for most anything else that I do on PC. I’m sure these work fine for other games too though— I’ve briefly tried them on the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake and they sound pretty darn fantastic there as well. One slight change is that I’ve switched over to the custom preset with Active Noise Cancellation on (as recommended by GadgetryTech). Main reason for this switch is that I feel like the volume gets a little bit higher with ANC on- Again, these don’t get nearly as loud as the stock earpads (the stock ones are suctioned around your ears and much closer to your head— which I never liked much else about the stock ones, other than they do get louder and bass is a tad bit more defined IMO). But with the StealthZ’s more open design (compared to stock) there is an advantage of widening the soundstage- thereby enhancing FPS immersion and 3-spatial detail, so the trade off is fine. Additionally maybe I’m just a tiny bit more hard of hearing than most people or something, as I also tend to listen to audio louder than most with headphones or earbuds. Either way these are holding up great over time (so far) and I have absolutely zero buyer’s remorse. In my humble opinion these are most definitely the best earpads on the market for this headset.

comfy!
i follow joe on youtube, ( maker of this pad) and across the years? i have always valued his opinions and seem to agree with his opinions on headsets and pads. I was very interested in this pad and it delivers on everything he set out to make. I use it on the nova 5 and from a comfort perspective it really us an upgrade over the stovk pads which are soft, but but a tad bit to small on the width and hight. this new pad is an upgrade both ways, now my ears fit completely into the hole and does not press on any side. big win. the material is more velour i think but breaths more than the astro velour so my ears never got too hot and had to take off the headset after my two hour game session, now whatever eq change from the pad is easily fixed by the eq on the steel series app. . in conclusion very highly recommend! well worth the money.

sounds FANTASTIC
I wasn't a huge fan of the original sound of the Nova Pro Wireless. coming from Sennheiser HD 490 Pros, I was looking for slightly more accuracy. these pads brought that (I slightly modified the reccomended EQ) and great comfort compared to the stock pads. if you want your headset to sound more open and accurate, get these. comfortable, great quality, not super difficult to install. worth the cash, this brought the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless from a 6/10 sound to a 7.5/10.

The best pads you should get!
Purchased for - | Arctis Nova Pro Omni. Pro’s? [ Luxurious dark black velour. ] [ Dense slow rebound memory foam. ] [ Bigger size than stock ear pads for acoustics. ] [ Marshmallows on your ears, Very Soft! ] Con’s? [Slight loss in ANC but this can be negated enormously by using the parametric EQ in Sonar or the Base Station depending on model. ] (If you’re not too chicken to learn.😎) Would purchase again. 👍🏾

Did not fit the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless
EDIT 2: I was contacted by the company, but then promptly ghosted when I replied. Going to reduce it to 1 star. Not a great way to handle a negative experience and genuine concerns about how the product installation is shown to beginners. EDIT: I since got a different pair of ear cushions from WC and you have to push WAYYYY harder than they act like on the video. If they aren't fitting, try pushing quite a bit harder. I know that seems a bit iffy since these are expensive headphones, but they do eventually snap in. Just line it up and trust the process. I'll rate this 2 stars cause I genuinely think it's problematic to not mention how hard you need to push. I think the clips get worn down so the preview video was super easy cause of that compared to a brand new replacement. not sure. Quite literally did not fit my Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. Not sure if the product was damaged on arrival, or if there's just bad QC from the company. It's a shame because they seem to have really good reviews. The original earcups fit back on easily, so it's 100% an issue with these new earcups. No matter how much force I applied, they just didn't snap in. I didn't feel comfortable continuing to apply more force, as these are expensive headphones, so I unfortunately had to return them. I can't speak to anything else as the product was uninstallable and functionally unusable out of the box.

Ideal if you wear glasses
Tried the stock, freeze and these and I found these to be the most comfortable. I wear glasses, and the ear cuffs press the frame into my skull no matter what and I end up having to take the headphones off for a while if wearing for more than 1 hour with the stock/freeze, these push it up to about 3. The downside is they are a bit more acoustic and more outside sound gets through than the others, so less deep tones overall. Turning on the ANC helps, but drains the battery faster. Also, they are very made of very plush material and grab hair like crazy so be prepared to clean them often. All in all, these are great for people that wear glasses and want to go longer without discomfort.

SUPER PLUSH!
5 stars all day! Joe from Gadgetry Tech is a genius so I trusted trying these. SUPER soft and comfy. Like a cloud pinching your head. I have the WC freeze version too and these are WAY better. More plush and actually stay cooler over time. I bought these for my Maxwell's so then had to have em for my Nova pro too. Enhance comfort dramatically! My WC freeze both sit in the bag now. Now back to Arc Raiders... Gotta go topside! Now in comfort😂

WC StealthZ > WC Freeze
I bought the WC Freeze first and I found them hard. I have glasses and I started to get pain points quickly. So I returned them and tried those one. Comfort is night and day. Yes, ANC is less efficient, so it could be a dealbreaker for you but for me, comfort is king as I have them for gaming and working, so about 10hours a day on my head. I recommend 100%
