Is this product PVC based. or can safely be laser cut?

Not sure about laser cutting. I use a Cricut to cut it.

Which setting should I use with Cricut?

I cut using vinyl setting and it works great.

Can I apply to wood and will it stick?

I have not had experience personally with using this on wood. However on various craft blogs I have heard that most of these adhesive products do not stick to wood unless you paint or seal it first.

Is anyone else having issues when applying it to metal tumblers? I’ve tried three times and failed. It will not stick

It didn’t work for me either. I bought the white in this same brand and it wasn’t a problem but with the chrome I had no luck
