Excellent DI
Works well, sounds crystal clear (to me), has some tweak options which I've actually had to use.I am using this unit to provide a multi-zone background music setup with very long (180') balanced runs to powered speakers (B215A) from a bunch of $9 USB sound cards (monoprice) off a Linux box running MMPD. Works as advertised, zero noise. In fact, with this setup things work perfectly with all switches off:Sound card -> DI -> Mixer (Alesis 12R) -> SpeakerBut in this simple setup the amplification is just excessive (booming pops) and it works great with the "-30db pad" switch enabled.Sound card -> DI -> SpeakerWhile in some setups having a true volume control on each channel might have been better than just a "-30db" and "+20db" switch, that's really a job for a mixer so no complaints here, I'm just grateful to be able to get a sub $100 8-channel unit that works reliably.Have not tried phantom power, have it in a server rack, mains powered.

Well built and does the job
This DI box is great. There are 8 channels and the device can be powered either by standard 110v power or phantom power via the XLR cable. I found this to be a very good value.

GREAT ITEM - EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED - WORKS GREAT!!!!!
We had some older direct boxes failing and decided to replace them with this all-in-one unit. We also purchased a 4-space rack, a power conditioner to mount in it and some new cables. The DI box and power conditioner went into the rack. This is placed near our plugs on the stage and the XLR cables hook everything in. We have longer cables to plug in bass, guitars, drums, etc. It keeps everything neat and tidy and makes it much easier to set up and tear down the stage at times when we need to do that. It's got some great features, some of which we don't use now, but they are there for the future.

Great compact solution, but still has it hickups
It's a great priced unit. Behringer sometimes shines in it's price to performance ratio and quiets down the talk of the brand as "cheap" (you should get to know the x32 compact EXCELLENT for the price) but it does has it issues. First turning the power onto this unit, sends a really loud pop through your PA, or interface. Louder than I had expected. It also adds white noise into the System. To combat these small hickups, I usually turn this on first, then the speakers, and might buy a desser, but since it's minimal, I'm been dailing in the adjustments to most channels. The setup where this is install is pretty sophisticated, and has a chain of several processors including feedback, autoeq's, speaker management, delay, compression, and automated enhancers to name a few however you can't filter everything. It's not a whirlwind, but it is worth it for the price to performance.

Works great
I was suspect of this DI box as the prices is so good, but we have the single channel Beringers and they work great so I thought I would give this a try. It's great. Very quiet and perfect isolation and no detectable distortion. We have a 125foot run though the snake back to the sound board. We have used it with electronic drums and acoustic guitars.

Excellent value and operation.
We use a pair of these for the band in our church (about 6 months now). It works well, is quiet, and was a great deal for an 8-channel DI box.

cheap
works well enough for multiple stereo keyboard feeds. it's basically their D100 times 8 with lighted buttons. the rackmount helps for stage use.
