I was looking for an FM radio for my emergency bag. When I found the URPRO model I found so much more.As a radio, it seems functional, and easily picked up channels locally. The antenna extends out and I had no problem dialling in channels with the dial tuner.The speaker is effective. It's not going to provide ear thumping sound, but it's efficient and clear.The added bonuses on this radio are what really get me. It has a small solar panel; it's not going to provide a ton of power, but in an emergency situation it's another option. It has a nice little flashlight. Again, just enough to be helpful. My favorite feature is the crank hand generator that's built in. When no other power exists, it will be INCREDIBLY helpful to be able to produce it by hand.In addition to being a great radio, this provides emergency power generation as well. It has a USB out power slot to give a new level of preparedness.
