Slow Reply from Customer Support - UPDATED
(I have added an update at the end to keep things in chronological order)This unit played wonderfully --- for less than 12 hours.I have sent two polite emails to the address listed in the user guide and received no response - NONE! First email sent Saturday at 1:48 PM and it is now Friday 9:30 AM.Maybe I just got a defective unit. Maybe I put too much on it and have to reload the software. I just want some guidance.Here is the email I sent (twice) - remember I sent it on SaturdayHello,Yesterday, I received the Valoin Digital MP3 Player (Model V01) from Amazon.Today it is not working. I am including all of the information I can think of in case there is a problem I can deal with before sending it back.Yesterday:When I opened the box and started the device, it appeared to have a full charge.When I plugged it into my computer (Windows 10), it was recognized and everything seemed to work well.I loaded it with music. When I disconnected it from the computer (using Windows' eject function), the screen had a still image and said searching. It showed 10% and did not move from there. After about 10 minutes, I reset the device by holding the power button in for about 10 seconds. This time when it woke up, the image was animated and it finished searching the new files shortly.I then presented it to my wife as a present.I showed her how to use it.Today:This morning, I asked my wife how much of the new music she listened to and she said she was having a problem with the device. She gave it to me and I could not get it to power on. I tried resetting it (by holding the power button down for 10 seconds and then tried for 20 seconds). Nothing happened. I tried charging it on my computer and this is when I noticed something odd.When I plugged it into the computer (in the SAME USB port that had been used yesterday), Windows informed me that it was setting up a new device. At that point, nothing else happened. I checked the Windows Device Manager and it is listed as an Unknown Device.I tried charging it with another charger that I have and still have had no luck in getting it to wake up.I have looked for new firmware and/or drivers to apply on the internet and have had no luck.I am a computer professional and have no issues with doing such tasks if I have the proper files.This feels like for some reason the battery is not accepting a charge but it is strange that it would die so soon after only a few hours of listening.It is possible that I put too many files on it, but I would stress that it worked fine for quite a while after I added the files. While showing my wife how to use it, I powered it off and on a couple of times.Can you advise?Sincerely*** UPDATE ***After I posted the original review (above), I received an email apologizing for the delay and giving me links to the new firmware and the production tool needed to apply the firmware. It only took a week to get that information. :(I used the software and was unable to apply the firmware. I got an error that seemed to indicate a problem with the flash memory. I sent them another email and waited almost ANOTHER week to get a reply. This time they asked me to format the device. Since windows is not properly recognizing it as a drive, I couldn't format it there. Also, the production tool would not 'ERASE' the device and would give the same error 'FLASH_TYPE_84'.I have returned this device.I am buying a different brand that I think is essentially the same unit but hopefully with better components.I suspect that I simply got a defective unit and would honestly say that I really liked it until it stopped playing. HOWEVER, beware... customer support is terribly slow. They say 24 hour response in the user guide but my experience averages 5 business days. If you have a problem with this device I suggest you just send it back and get a replacement or order a different brand.PLEASE NOTE - To reset the device, you can hold in the power button for 10 seconds. That solved the first issue I had. Unfortunately it did not help with the rest.I am a little conflicted about the bad review. On the one hand, my experience was horrible. On the other hand, I really like the features, performance (until it died), and price point of the device. I was seriously considering ordering another one in case I just got a bad one until I found another model that appears to have the same features (importantly a 2.4 inch screen).The bad review stays because of the extremely slow turnaround on customer support.

For the price it gets the job done for me
I've had it for quite a while it still works the Bluetooth works well and pairs with my car, shower speakers, and headphones without issue. It plays all my songs the playlist maker is clunky but I just made a playlist folder and play music from there. Its basic but it gets the job done and has long battery life.

I’ve Had Better
The only issue I have with this player is that it will play the same songs over and over. Doesn’t seem to matter if you have 2,000 songs. It will continuously play the same 25 songs. Also, the album art has to be just the right size or it won’t display. They just don’t make MP3 players like they used to.

Good sound, weak radio that now 6 months in does not work at all.
I prefer the non-touch screen interface of this model and easy to navigate songs saved on the device. Sound is solid. What does not make any sense is why do I have to turn on Bluetooth every time I use it. Radio signal was always weak. Living in a city of 1.5m people and I could only get 6 different channels at first but it got the 2 I use. Now 6 months in the radio no longer can find any channels. Will be trying to return if I can find the packaging.

bluetooth???
like this player. stays on 24hr time no matter how many times reset. the bluetooth will connect to portable speaker but says file format wrong. Does play all music with 3mm aux plugged in

Delivery slow.
Hardly use it because it is not easy to use. Not impressed.
