Can you use it for hot foods?

I have repeatedly put very hot liquid and it eventually cracked. I do not recommend if you want it to last. Now I need another one and won't put very hot liquid in it.

are they microwave safe?

I called Oxo 24 July 2023 and was told these plastic measuring cups are only made to withstand less than 30 seconds in a microwave oven.

Will the markings wash off over time? My other plastic measuring cups became useless after 6 months because the markings washed/rubbed off.

I purchased this exact set back in 2016 and use them frequently. I can still see the markings. I don't know if this made a difference or not, but I have always hand washed them. I never put them in the dishwasher even though it says they are dishwasher safe.
