This is a fabulous light and can also be used in many other situations other than as a child's bedside light, i.e. camping, lighting up a loft area if you don't have power up there or a gentle light for sitting outside at night with a glass of wine perhaps (although I understand that it is not water proof). It is sturdy, aesthetically pleasing and easy to use with a range of lighting from dim to very bright - my 3 year old grandson loves it although it took a while before he got to sleep as he was so intrigued by how it worked and kept changing the brightness level! I love the fact that it is battery free and usb charged - I can't comment on the length of time the light charge lasts for but having read other reviews it is a good length of time. Excellent value for money at the sale price and my son is now interested in buying one too.

I love this light! It is perfect for breast feeding mums/ babies as you can just tap it on easily and have it on a dim light- enough to see but not enough to totally wake up baby. The fact that it comes on at the brightness you left it at is very useful. Also very handy that it does not need to be plugged in as you can put it anywhere in the room. Charge lasts a long time. Very reasonable price. Overall, excellent product.

We got this as a nightlight for use the bathroom now that our eldest is out of night-time nappies and needs to find his own way to the toilet, and of course there are no mains sockets allowed in bathrooms. Even on minimum power there is just enough light to see by, without flooding light out to the rest of the bedrooms and waking everyone else up, and on this setting the battery lasts for a claimed 100 hours. Haven't tested this claim scientifically, but we only need to recharge it once every week or so! Lightweight but durable, and the touch-sensitive buttons are easy to use even when you are half-asleep.

This light orb is dazzling. It is incredibly smooth and I just can't stop caressing it. It feels like the wet flank of a dolphin and the light is brighter than when I dropped that knife in the toaster last week. The touch buttons are really responsive and the light level grows and dips in a very satisfying way. I just carry it around everywhereI took the orb to the dinner table yesterday, noodles were on the menu. I had the orb in one hand and was stuffing grub in my face with the other just looking at it. My mental little nephew thought I was one of the ood off Doctor Who and stabbed me right in the collar bone with his chopstick. It hurt so I ran over with the orb and touched him on the head with it then smushed my noodles in his face and whispered 'You're one of us' - he went bloody nuts thinking he had full tentacles and started rolling around twitching like a right lepper. Absolutely class

This is a great children's light at a very competitive price. The light is very portable and with the ability to brighten or reduce the brightness it works really well. Very handy that there in no electrical cable as you charge the light via a USB cable. We have had the light for over 2 weeks and it hasn't needed to be charged yet despite my son having it on for several hours every night. It is made from good strong materials so I don't think it would be easy to break. We are very happy with this item.

After reading so many positive reviews I was a little disappointed to find that the "stepless dimming" wasn't quite to stepless. I bought this as a night light for my little girls bedroom. Firstly, the light is too white and not at all relaxing. Secondly, and most frustrating, the light does not dim to is lowest without a step. If fact, it jumps from too bright to too dark and the next touch turns it off. Which makes to totally useless as a night light. However, as a portable light with some adjustability to the brightness it is a nice item. Since purchasing it I've noticed the same light with a warm/cool function so perhaps I will go for that instead.

Excellent LED light. Really good as a nightlight in our daughters bedroom. The controls allow it to be light enough to read to her but dimable so that we can have the room dark to get her off to sleep. Battery lasts for ages (have only had to charge it once since buying it) and it doesn't take to long to go from flat to fully charged. The strap does mean that you can hang it up. It would have been a five star product but as it doesn't have any non-slip rubber feet it can slip around on whatever surface you have it on. This is only a minor quibble and could be easily rectified. Definitely would purchase again.

These lights are amazing! We started with one light and now have three! my 9 year old loves his and uses it as his bedside table lamp as well as a portable night light to take downstairs to the toilet in the middle of the night. We have one on the landing which the kids want on brightly when they go to bed, but which we turn down to dim once they are all asleep. We have our third one in our bedroom. We have a newborn so awoken for constant night feeds. Being able to have the light on dim for feeding is fantastic as it doesn't wake our baby. Yet it is great to be able to make it that bit brighter when trying to change a dirty nappy. Definitely recommend this light to anyone, suitable for all uses. We will be taking our lights camping in the summer too.
