Desperately needed something to block or filter out the intense sun from a south facing skylight. Also wanted something to serve as a screen for when I wanted to open the skylight for ventilation, but not allow bugs in. After searching several sites and numerous Amazon options, this seemed to fit the bill the best.This product is lightweight, very attractive and well made. It is simpleto put together — just slide the side rails into the top and bottom screen sections, then turn the corner screws to adjust the cord tension for the screen sliders (see last photo). It forms a neat, lightweight unit that can then be placed into the skylight opening for attachment.My skylight opening had slightly irregular dimensions (+/- 1/8”) so I ordered it with the -0.1” deduction, which worked perfectly. I also used adhesive backed foam around the frame, giving it a snug fit and blocking any light from the edges.*Note: The frame arrived without the holes in the side rails - needed to screw into the skylight sides. I contacted the company and they offered to send a replacement at no charge. However, I was able to use my Dremel to drill the holes myself, so that was not necessary.I did not order the adjustment pole, nor did I attach the handles, as the shade is easily reachable and I liked the clean look without them. There are slots along the edges of both shades, and the edges can overlap slightly.I am extremely pleased with the final result. The shade does a great job in blocking out all light, or filtering the light, as needed. The screens slide smoothly, while also remaining in place (see comparison photos).*Final word: The company was excellent to communicate with. They reach out, upon receiving the order, to clarify measurements and any other details. They also communicate about the production and delivery timeline. I ordered this on May 27, with a delivery estimate (from Amazon) of June 11-25. The product was delivered on June 3! Produced and delivered, from China, in 7 days.Overall, I am extremely impressed.

When we placed the order for this blind, we were doubtful about the fitting and quality.We also received an email from the seller saying that Amazon had an estimated delivery date shorter than they could accomplish. They asked if it was ok if it took longer that promised. We said it was ok, but we needed it by the first week of June. To our surprise, the item got here very quickly, even earlier that the Amazon promised delivery date.The blind was very easy to assemble. The instructions are very clear, except for two metal pieces included in the package and shown in the instructions. It isn’t clear what to do with them.Installation was very simple and releasing the tension of the blind to make it easy to open and close it, was an important feature. My wife can open and close it without any problem.The sun protection is perfect. Our new wooden floor in our walk in closet and our clothes are now protected from the bleaching effects of the sun.The price might sound a bit high, but the functionality, the design and the sun protection is offers, make it a good investment.I would recommend this blinds and the seller. The company is very meticulous in the manufacturing of their products and the shipping packaging was excellent and very protective of the product.

These blinds are definitely black-out and work great. They are easily assembled and look very nice. For skylight installation make sure to observe the dimensions because my skylights were smaller than the opening at the bottom which means the drywall box slopes together slightly. Since these blinds fit inside the opening I had to trim the surrounding drywall.

Totally thrilled with the blinds. We took care in measuring according to seller directions and the blinds fit absolutely perfectly. Very easy install and the light blocking for the skylight is very beneficial in keeping the heat that comes in. Love it!
