Amelia Short Pine Bed Frame and Mattress (15 cm), 2ft 6 Single (5ft 9 Length)

The assembly instructions were easy to follow. However there was an issue with the bed being level when the centre support legs were added. To make the bed stable we had to put a block under the bottom legs as these were floating rather than the middle ones. This was purchased for when grandchildren come to stay.

The bed frame is great. Solid and good quality. The mattress is not that great... a bit too bouncy and a little uncomfortable, especially if you are used to a memory foam mattress. However, a good mattress topper solved the problem and it feels pretty comfy now. I am 5 foot 7 and I can just stretch out. Anyone taller may struggle with the shorter length. Of course, this is a child's bed but I bought it to fit a small bedroom. If you curl up a little its fine. For an occasional use bed in a restricted space it's great! Very happy with my purchase.

When I ordered the bed it said estimated delivery between the 21st-24th, I needed the bed by the 24th at the latest really as we were the doing my daughters bedroom as a surprise while she was staying with her grandparents and was back on the 24th, the bed did not get delivered until the 25th- had I known delivery would be that long I would have bought it elsewhere, that said the bed is very nice and sturdy and should last a good few years. Also very easy to put together.

This bed is a perfect step up from a cot for a tolder and into junior years . We looked at cot beds but they are very small and would only get a year or so out of it ,but this bed will last years we also decided to paint ours and it takes paint well .Great buy really pleased with it and so is my Grandson he loves his big boy bed .

The two middle support legs are screwed into place with two self tapping screws from the inside.Moved the bed once and the one leg became loose,there needs to be a better way of fixing.Pleased with the bed apart from the above.

Lovely bed made from solid wood. No off-gassing from nasty mdf glues. Perfect for our small bedroom. Slightly more height under the bed than a standard single bed making it a great space to store boxes of toys out of sight. Really prompt delivery, in fact I was phoned to ask if I'd like it earlier than stated as the delivery driver was in the area. Easy to assemble. The mattress that came with it is fine for my 5 year old daughter, but if I was using it for regular use with an older child or adult I would want a mattress with more support. Great value for money, would recommend.

I purchased this bed after seeing the good reviews but I don’t mind being the first to say this, if it’s going to save someone money and time... This bed is not for people who don’t have much time on their hands and just want a safe and long lasting bed for their child, for a small room.The instructions that come with it, are so useless that its better off not being there, but it’s not that hard to guess it correctly. That being said it took two people 3-4 hours to fit it together which is ridiculous. We had to dismantle the whole headboard halfway through because the instructions named the wrong parts, so after that we stopped reading it and guessed the rest, which worked out better.The support legs are too short so they’re pointless and I read that they have a free spare parts service so that probably means loads of people complain and get wrong/bad parts. Personally it makes me angry knowing I have to waste more time ordering parts that they should have taken care on providing in the first place.The bed was very sturdy for the first few days which made up for the nightmare putting-together experience, but then I realised the screws started getting looser and looser even though I used the glue provided so I have to keep screwing it tighter every few days now.I’m very disappointed as this company and the reviews seemed very promising but I think now all that’s left to go wrong is the bed actually falling apart, and that will, very frustratingly, be £200 gone down the drain.

This shorty bed is exactly as described, very solid and strong, fairly easy to construct, looks good and should last for years. The mattress is Ok, quite lightweight so I'd say it's a budget option but it's fine for us. One thing I will mention is that the bed is very high! It's the tallest bed in our house, with 34cm clearance underneath and then it's 56cm measured from floor to top of the mattress so it's great for storage underneath but my little girl has trouble climbing up in to her bed at times.
