My husband is a paraplegic and we thought this transfer lift could really help both he and I as he ages. There were several possibilities for purchase but we decided to pay more money and buy from an American company rather than from overseas. We felt there would be less problems doing so. HOW WRONG WE WERE! This transfer lift arrived and has not worked from Day One! We cannot get the company, Climbing Steps, Inc., to return phone calls or emails about what could be done to repair it or to replace it. Now Amazon says we cannot get our money back until we ship it and insure the shipping ON OUR OWN DIME!!!! We are talking about a $2,000 purchase here and this is where it has ended up. Please run as far away from purchasing anything from this business.. They are not honest, reliable or trustworthy.

Anyone who is a caregiver knows, the most difficult and wearing thing on your body is transferring. I had been transferring my husband for 20 years and just finally needed help. This gadget saves me two transfers and I am grateful for that simple thing. It does just what it says it does…fits over the toilet so one does not have to transfer at that end. However, if you do not have a medical bed or one with a clearance at the bottom, you will not be able to use it in that capacity. Also, the seat is pretty sharp and if the patient has bed sores in that area, it can hurt them. That is my only negative note to the manufacturer. The seat needs to be a softer or padded material. But love that it can be made taller or shorter to fit over the toilet.I highly recommend this incredible piece of equipment for anyone who needs help with a person who is not mobile. It is a gem.

I ORDERED THIS LIFT FOR MY HUSBAND IN JANUARY. HE WAS DISCHARGED FROM NURSING HOME JUST YESTERDAY FEBRUARY 14 TO HAVE TO HELP LIFT HIM FROM BED BUT IT WILL NOT RAISE UP TO THE HOSPITAL BED OR TO OUR REGULAR BED USELESS FOR US. AND I PAID 2,000 FOR IT AND AMAZON SAID CANNOT RETURN IT DEADLINE WAS FEBRUARY 13 AND TODAY IS THE 15TH AND HE JUST GOT HOME YESTERDAY THE 14TH. CAN SOMEONE HELP WITH THIS SITUATION IT WASNT AS VIDEO SHOWS IT GETTING PATIENT OUT BED THIS ONE WILL NOT RAISE UP TO REACH THE BED OR THE HOSPITAL BED

Easy to assemble, easy to use, a great product. Would highly recommend to any seniors or caregivers. Gives dignity and privacy to elderly patients and seniors with mobility issues.

If a person can’t help u to adjust, sit on her/his own and lift from side to side to slide sit under it won’t work
