Apple MagicMouse
Paired with my MacBook and the Magic Keyboard, the Magic Mouse has been a positive surprise. I keep my MacBook tucked behind a portable monitor when working at my bureau, which creates a great iMac-like setup. With Touch ID on the keyboard, secure access is quick and seamless even when the laptop lid is closed so well worth the extra cost.Setting up the Magic Mouse was effortless: switch it on, and the MacBook immediately detected it, allowing me to customise preferences in seconds. Despite its low profile and sleek glass-like shell, the mouse feels substantial in the hand and delivers smooth, responsive performance. The built-in gesture controls adds value, going beyond a standard mouse and blending beautifully with macOS. Elegant, reliable, and thoughtfully designed, it’s a perfect companion to the Magic Keyboard. As for the much-discussed charging port on the bottom, I see it as a necessary trade-off for the slim design. The battery life is excellent. It came with 86% of the battery and after two weeks of light daily use, mine is still at 83%. Finding a moment to recharge every so often really isn’t an issue.

Scroll function didn’t work. Now does
Scroll function didn’t work. Make sure you’re fully updated as it won’t work until then. Works a treat now.Don’t be impatient like I was.

Quality is terrible
I am now on my 3rd magic mouse in as many months. Maybe I am super unlucky but each one after roughly 4 weeks has just stopped working.Never had this issue with the lightning versions of the magic mouse, but since the new USB-C versions, they just keep breaking!

Good apple quality but what let's it down is the need to stop using the device when charging

Feels just like new and saved me some money.
Was a bit skeptical about buying a used Magic Mouse, but I’m really happy with it. Pairs with my MacBook instantly over Bluetooth, no lag at all. The rechargeable battery is a big plus — just plug it in for a couple of minutes and it’s good to go for days. The surface is smooth and gestures work perfectly. Minor signs of use, but nothing that affects performance.

Too sensitive to 'stroking' and ridiculous charging port.
I've just dropped this down to two stars as it's really just annoyed me!I've just written a length review, which I'll summarise this time...Pros* Very nice to look at.* Works well moving around on any surface.Cons* VERY annoying that the 'scrolling' is so sensitive - see below* Charging port on the bottom. Why, oh why?So, I'd written the review mentioning that the scrolling function (up/down and left/right) is done by 'stroking' its head. But it's way to sensitive and it's easy to 'go back a page' or 'delete an email' by accident, when you just mean to 'click'. At the very end of the review, I revised the stars from 4 to 3 by clicking the third star. And lo, the mouse decided I want to go back a page. Lost the entire text I'd been typing. So, so annoying. And the charging port on the bottom. Form over function. Very pretty Apple, but would a port at the front be so ugly? Everyone else does it, why can't you. So, no way to use the mouse while charging - you have to remember to occasionally plug it in over night. My advice is to buy a good mouse from elsewhere. Sorry Apple, you dropped the (mouse) ball this time.
