Prolong Super Lubricants PSL11000 Engine Treatment is a 12 oz. advanced formula designed to chemically bond with metal engine surfaces in both gasoline and diesel engines. Utilizing Anti-Friction Metal Treatment technology, it forms a protective layer that significantly reduces friction and heat, enhancing engine longevity and performance even before motor oil fully circulates. Free from solid particles like PTFE and metals, it ensures clean, effective protection under extreme conditions.

Really Protects Your Engine
I have been using Prolong in my 7.3 Power Stroke Diesel since it had 30,000 miles on the engine. I currently have 450,000 miles on the engine and it still is running strong. I believe that it has helped save my engine when I couldn't afford to fix some oil leaks in a timely fashion. I have had my crank seal and oil cooler give out on my engine and my oil level got below the "safe" level a couple of times before I added oil. Despite this abuse my engine is still running strong. Using prolong is just part of a regiment that will keep your engine running for a long time. For the first 150,000 miles I changed the oil and filter every 3,000 miles. After that I started using the K&N brand of oil filter and changed the oil every 5,000 miles. I went to the K&N filter because it filters down to 10 microns, where the average filter only filters down to 30 microns. Also, it is important to use oil that is appropriate for your engine. Since my engine was built in 2000, it requires more anti-wear metals that are not found in modern oils. Since I had just realized that fact, I believe that the Prolong has protected my engine despite the fact that the oil I was using did not have the anti-wear metals in the oil. Despite this fact, my mechanic said that my turbocharger was tight and had no play what so ever. He was amazed by the fact that I have 450,000 miles on the engine.Even though Prolong says it won't warranty any engine that is used for commercial purposes or if the vehicle has been modified, don't be alarmed. I use my 4X4 van as a delivery vehicle and I have 37" Dick Cepek Fun Country II radials. The van empty weighs in at 7,500 pounds and I expect to get more than a million miles out of my engine. I just recently put a new high-volume high pressure oil pump, performance injectors, and a 6 position chip into my van. It also has a 4 inch exhaust and K&N Air Filter cartridges. The vehicle has tons of power and gets great fuel economy.

This stuff really works and will not harm your car..
I have been using this product since 2000 and it boosts your mileage and increases the life of your engine. If your car just started knocking add this ASAP and it will quiet it down, and maybe even keep it from throwing a piston rod and destroying your engine.Used it on a used1996 Ford Winstar at 180,000 miles, it decreased average fuel consumption by 5mpg and boosted power. I sold the van at 267,000 miles still running strong. Then a used 2006 Toyota Yaris with 110,000 miles. When the transmission started to slip I was at 347,621 miles. Nothing but standard oil changes, and maintenance. And by standard I mean every 10,000 miles or 6 months, not the new car sales BS 3,000 miles requirement.Using on my New 2020 Hyundai Ioniq PHEV, since day one. Also using the Prolong transmission additive added at 80,000 when they had to open the sealed transmission. I am at 90,000+ miles and no issues with either the engine or transmission.

Can't prove it works. But, all the evidence indicates that it does.
All the evidence I have for this product is anecdotal. I haven't send my motor oil to the lab to have it analyzed after I drained it. But, it seems to work.A friend of mine is a racing consultant. He said years ago they were testing the lubricity coefficient of some of these engine additives. Prolong was second. The one that came in first is not available anymore.I had been getting around 47 mpg in my 1982 BMW motorcycle, on average. I put Prolong in with Brad Penn 20w50 high performance oil. On a ride to Missouri, I got 51 and 52 mpg on two consecutive tanks. At the time I hadn't drawn the correlation. I was puzzled at the increase and asked a mechanic friend of mine if he had any theories. He said, "Did you do anything to the oil?" Then the light went on. The only thing different was the Prolong. When I was still teaching shop at a Career Center, we entered a state "high mileage" contest in which we built a car with a Briggs and Stratton engine, aluminum frame, bicycle wheels, and carbon fiber body. We used Prolong in the engine. The car got 250mpg, and we won the state contest.Lastly, when I look at all the reviews for Prolong, overwhelmingly the majority says it is a good product. With the good luck I had previously, I decided to try it in all my engines, including lawnmowers. So, I bought a gallon. That lowered the price significantly.

Do you want protection?
This is the best engine treatment for your vehicle. I have been using this product for over 20 years. I have used it in the current vehicle and the two vans before. The 1st van used oil and sometimes I would forget to check it and even with no oil on the dip stick there were no issues with the engine. I also use the transmission treatment too, the 2 vans were both Doge Grand caravans the 1st had 250,000 miles with original transmission & the 2nd had 150,000 with original transmission. The vehicle I now have is a 2015 Honda Pilot with over 150,000 miles on it.

Prolongs Engine Life and Improves gas mileage
I've used Prolong in several vehicles. I add it at the time I change oil. I have noticed that it does improve my fuel economy a little and reduces friction in the engine. I've had several vehicles that I bought new and had over 200,000 miles at trade-in with zero oil consumption and no mechanical problems throughout the life of ownership. This is a good product, I recommend it.I have not received any kind of payment or promotion for this review, it is strictly my opinion.
