I've been really impressed with this composter! Not only does it hold a ton of food waste, but it's incredibly quiet considering all the work it's doing. The end result is very nice too. I was curious if my result would look like the pictures they show on the product page and it does! It's also heavy duty. I expect this appliance will last for years. It's super simple to operate too - I just use the auto setting which runs for 10 hours (the longest of it's 3 options). The other day I let it run after we went to bed and it was finished in the morning. I wanted to mention that when you're putting the interior bucket in, you have to firmly press the bucket down to get it to seat properly so the lid will go on. I assumed I just needed to line up the arrows, but you have to actually give it a good press too. Now that I've used it a few times, it seems to settle in without having to press. Because I'm using the compost for plants, I'm carful to balance what scraps I'm using. For instance I don't use more than 2 baskets of spent coffee grounds in a single batch because that would result in too much nitrogen in the soil. I read up on other do's and don'ts of composting before using it the first time because the included instructions are decent but can't cover everything - and there's lots of helpful tips out there! I'm really grateful that I have a way to recycle table scraps in a way that benefits my household vs just filling up a landfill.

Starting with a 4-star review. We have used it to break down some food-waste and I gotta say it's pretty impressive. However, I haven't gone through the process of cleaning it out yet, I have a feeling it will not be an easy job. The weight is okay, it's overall pretty heavy, and the composting capacity is pretty large if you let it run the cycle from time to time. It breaks down the waste well, and DOES NOT LEAVE AN ODOR AS LONG AS YOU KEEP IT SEALED. Otherwise very easy, looking forward to adding the compost to the garden!
