The media could not be loaded. I love smoothies but I hate using the family sized blender for single serving uses. This little guy is so convenient! I like that it's portable, but I didn't specifically buy it for that feature, it's just nice. I love that it's rechargeable, and that it comes with a fabulous lid that seals nicely, is easy to hold, and has a great carabiner and lanyard strap. It's really easy to clean with the top and bottom coming apart, and it's powerful enough to blend frozen fruit. I mostly put frozen fruit and a cup of water in it, but I imagine it should be able to handle ice cubes equally well. I turn it on and shake the bottle as it's blending in order to keep the frozen chunks mixing around. That helps it blend faster and it keeps the frozen chunks from getting wedged in the bottom between the blades. I'd say this blender is well suited to making shakes, protein drinks, smoothies and anything similar.As a side note, I had the opportunity to communicate with the store's customer service department after having a small problem with my order, and I must say, their customer service was stellar. They resolved my problem promptly, completely and easily. That kind of service is what keeps customers like me coming back!
