very well built, giving this a 4.5 star rating
Ok 1st as you can see I mounted it upside down and to a 27" imac that weighs 21 lb. You can see I have a tight tolerance to the granite counter as that is where the air vents are located. There was a little to much give in the tube and had to modify it with a bi fold bottom door bracket to keep it from moving and works perfectly. 2nd The tilt angle I had to adjust many times as there is some movement after hooking the vesa on the tilt angle, and as you can see the 5mm hex key bolt almost stripped out. I never use there hex keys but mine on a ratchet gear wrench hex set. Its marked as a 8.8 bolt but its to soft for for that. My two bolts holding the arm in place are 8.8 bolts with metal bracket on the inside of cabinet and it is a lot tighter than what I did on the angle bar. Adjusting the angle so many times to get the right angle and needing to tighten it down to hold the weight well you can see. [ I need the bolt thread count and size so I can get one here ] if I need to adjust it again.other than that one problem unit works as great. this was one of the only ones that supports 22 lb monitors and had a 15.5 in with angle bracket turned at 90 degrees / 18 in if fully extended. So if anyone is doing a mount like this it will work just fine and better if mounting a monitor onlyhopefully the manufacture reads this and gets back to me on the bolt size. hope this helps someone.

Another amazing Amazon Basics product - built like a battleship!
I'm really pleased with how heavily built & well designed the mount really is! They've gone 'above & beyond' the basics on this twin monitor mount.I used this mount in our office at work, to get a 24" monitor for our DVR/surveillance system and our 22" monitor for our server in a much better place...up and off of the desk that we all use to balance tills, work on our spredsheets/documents & calculate our safe drops. Space is a premium.Every fastener you'll need is included & there's even an Allen wrench in the kit - used to set the 'balance' or 'tension' of the gas cylinders on each of the arms. Got a thicker desktop or counter top? The clamp will accommodate up to about 3 3/4" safely.Gas cylinders? Indeed...Just like the ones on your desk chair or the hatch of your vehicle! They've taken that concept, along with some very well engineered cantilever arms/linkages to allow easy positioning of the monitors - without sacrificing the ability to bear weight. I've never seen this done before on a balance arm for any type of equipment. I was thrilled with the performance of it!The desk mounting clamp is more than ample to keep my monitors from swinging around or dancing in the air as myself & others work at this desk. This device freed up the equivalent of basically an entire additional desk space. For that benefit alone, this device has shown it's worth.Safety: The setup manual warns about all the pinch points and the possibility of the monitor swinging up and knocking your face off when setting up the arm tension, but I never experienced ANY issues with securing the clamp to the desk, the monitors to the VESA mounts (75mm X 75mm & 100mm X 100mm) or setting the arm tension to offset the weight of the monitor!Let me mention that each arm has a cover that conceals any of the mechanical linkages and has integral cable routing channels and built-in catches for power & video cables - the install looks very neat & polished.I'm really surprised that a product of this quality is offered at such a low price point! I'm a (retired) manufacturing engineer and I do understand what it takes to build something like this...there's really nothing like it available as for what I've seen online. Conclusion: If you've got a busy office, where space matters & you're looking for a really good cure for the ailment - Amazon Basics has come to your rescue. The monitor arm is affordable enough to purchase several for the office, too!My only disappointment is that I didn't discover this sooner. Two thumbs up - very nicely done 😉

A little hassle to assemble, but very sturdy
This is a great monitor arm that gives you a little extra desk space and flexibility in your setup!I really wasn't expecting the amount of parts this came with for a simple monitor mount - since it comes with multiple ways to mount it to your desk and to different types of screens, there are more parts than you'll ever need at one time. The instructions don't do a great job of helping with this initial confusion either, and are not especially clear at first. However, the parts are all strong and well made and once it starts going together, it finishes up quickly. It clamps onto the desk quite competently (either on the edge of the desk or through a hole), and I haven't had any issues with it loosening. The arm is articulated in plenty of joints that make it easy to get it exactly where you want it, and lock down nicely to keep it there with no annoying wobbles or creaks. Exactly what you want in a straightforward stand upgrade!

Working great so far
I have a desk that's on the smaller size and I'm constantly studying something or other so extra desk space is really important to me. This is perfect to lift the monitor off my desk so I can spread my notes and textbooks out.The Amazon Basics Adjustable Single Monitor Arm Mount is a game-changer for my desk setup! It’s incredibly sturdy and holds my 32" monitor with ease. The mount is well-built, and the adjustable arm allows me to position my monitor exactly how I want, whether it’s for standing, sitting, or rotating the screen for different tasks.Installation was straightforward, and the mount came with all the necessary hardware. The instructions were clear, and I had it set up in about 15 minutes. I really appreciate the cable management feature, which keeps my desk looking neat and organized. Plus, the arm has a wide range of motion—it swivels, tilts, and can be adjusted for height, making it super easy to find the perfect angle for work or gaming. The mount is well-built, and the adjustable arm allows me to position my monitor exactly how I want, whether it’s for standing, sitting, or rotating the screen for different tasks. Currently using it on a 23" monitor and it feels very sturdy. Highly recommended

Solid build and quality for entry level price
Did some reading up on monitor arms before making my purchase. This Amazon Basics product was recommended from a variety of places as it had a great price to quality ratio.Currently am really happy with the product. Easy to put together and install on desk, installing the monitors on the arms was simple and quick, and overall its a very solid build. The cable management features along the arms were chefs kiss. Feels great to have a lot more space on my desk and works great standing or sitting.Quality of life things that would improve the build would be smoother movement and more placement angles. However, for being a "Basics" product, I think the next step up in quality would be more than double or triple the price. For being 90% perfect, I'm really satisfied with the purchase and would recommend to anyone that hasn't tried monitor arms before.

What you need to know:
im gonna be honest with you: this monitor arm is nice (if that's the straight forward answer you are looking for the review of this product). However, there are some aspects im going to point out, and im really going to dive in the details:The build is decent. The pole is made out of metal (Don't ask me what it is, it just feels metallic.)The hole's diameter for the grommet mount is actually 3.8" (10 cm) compared to the options in the picture of 0,51 - 2,36" (1,29 - 6 cm). At least from what I read in the instructions manual that came with it.Also, the there's a little foam pad for the grommet mount so you shouldn't worry about it scratching the desk. (Little piece of advice, when putting the pad, dont try to take it out and put it in a more pErFecT way. Trust me, it's just gonna deform the foam)The tools you get for the installation is, well. the usual. Cheap and efficient.I do like that the arm is separated in 3 parts rather than 2. If you look at the illustration for this product, in the middle of the arm, there are 2 parts that can turn 180 so you can collapse both parts of the arm so that your monitor can be close to the pole as long as you got enough room horizontally (I didn't find any other similar product that can do that. Feel free to prove me wrong, im quite the lazy type, didn't research that much). For the cable management, yikes, not the best I would personally say. The two little piece of plastic are not enough for cable management. They are kinda flimsy and can't hold a lot of cables (I would say like 3). Not only that, the grommet mount has two little holes. For what purpose? I have no idea. It's a pain in the bumbum if you try to fit cables in it because thats what I did.The plastic thing attached to the pole for cable management can't even fit a HDMI cable through.(The cable management issues is mostly on me because my desk has closed walls and the only possible space is through the grommet mount. Also, my outlet is kinda far so it does stretch out my cables)Take my opinion like a grain of salt. But my verdict for the product and the price for it: worth 👍

Very sturdy and easy to assemble gas spring monitor mount
I got this Amazon Basics gas spring monitor mount for my small computer desk. Because of the type of work I do, I sometimes like to pull my monitor up close, I was unable to this this with my monitor stand. Also, the standard monitor stand had a large base taking a lot of space on my small desk. This Amazon Basics gas spring monitor mount has solved my issues, it takes up very little space and it allows plenty of movement of my monitor. This gas spring monitor mount was very easy to put together with the instructions, and although the bracket under my desk is clamped to one of the metal cross members, it has clamped very firmly. After bolting the monitor in place, I adjusted the spring tension of the top arm with supplied Allen key, this allows me to pull my monitor to almost any position and it will stay put. On the underside of the arms is flexible plastic clamping to tuck the monitor cables out of the way.The construction of the gas spring monitor mount is really good, its quite a heavy item, and feels like an item that’s going to last.Overall, if you’re after plenty of monitor adjustment this Amazon Basics gas spring monitor mount does a great job, it feels very sturdy and is built to last.I hope you find my review useful and helpful
