This item was just what I needed to install a 2tb ssd drive into my Asus Ally Rog. The installation was very easy to the point I installed it in my car. I am very happy with this product and I would recommend it to anyone.

It came broken and the replacement one came in it was broken too would not recommend it

Since the original (2023) ROG Ally and ROG Ally Extreme both use 2230-style SSDs, you won't be able to use your 2280 drives here, without a handy adapter like this. Remove existing 2230 SSD, install this adapter with your new SSD, and away you go. There's really not much to it, and this works just fine, and fits perfectly. I'm using a couple of different brands of adapters and SSDs with my two Ally devices, and no issue with either. 5 out of 5. Excellent. PS Just in case you bought a 2024 Ally X, you do not need this adapter as the X supports 2280 drives out of the box.

I ordered this to upgrade my m.2 on my Rog Ally. This worked perfectly! No issues so far.
