Is my sauerkraut ready to consume? I break that question down into (a) safety and (b) taste. The pH tester answers part (a) for sure. Part (b) depends on how sour you like your product and I'm pretty sure that while I can tell what i like and what I don't, this instrument is great for getting consistent results from one batch to another and allowing me to calibrate fermentation time. Highly recommended for its practicality and ease of use.

I’ve been using the UIUZMAR Food pH Tester for my homemade skincare formulations, and I’m more than satisfied with its performance. Calibration was straightforward, making it easy to get accurate readings from the get go. I particularly appreciate the dual pH and temperature functionality, which adds versatility to the product and makes it useful for the projects I am undertaking. The product feels robust and well-made, providing confidence during use. However, I do recommend exercising caution as the tip looks a bit fragile and might be prone to damage if the meter is dropped onto hard flooring or scratched. Handling and storing it carefully will prolong its lifespan. This pH meter has been a fantastic tool for creating PH bapanced soaps, emulsified lotions, and shampoos. I'll also be using it to make products like yogurt, bread, and cheese in the future. One challenge I encountered is that I couldn’t find any information online about whether the battery was replaceable. I checked the product literature but there was no guidance. I will update this review and adjust the rating upwards if I am able to obtain confirmation from the manufacturer that the battery is replaceable. Update: star rating adjusted. The seller contacted me offering assistance and I now have confirmation that the battery compartment is accessible and the batteries are replaceable (See attached photo.) Also, replacement probe tips are available for purchase on the seller’s Amazon store. I am satisfied that this product offers both excellent functionality and value for money.

A nice piece of kit. Purchased to measure pH of cider fermentation. This comes with sachets for pH calibration powder which I haven’t used, I have purchased a spare tip which came with prepared small bottles of pH 4 and 7 liquid which are ready to use and convenient. Bluetooth connection to smart phone and app are excellent.

Works well I think, came already calibrated too.

Product stopped working by October, purchased in August. Not happy at all. And I can’t find a replacement probe on its own
