My daughter has been asking (well, begging) for one of these pillows for a while now. I'm not a monster that says NO to be mean, rather I really haven't been impressed with the pillows that I've seen. They are usually really plain, which makes them ugly (in my opinion) or just cheep and gross. While I have come across a few that didn't look like a blob/eyesore, they were filled with the worst material imaginable. I was starting to think that there was a conspiracy with these pillows and that I would never find the 'perfect' one. But just when I stopped searching, I found this. Not to sound extra, but this search has really been a pain. My daughter is 13 and has been so dramatic over a pillow. So it's almost like this one arrived with the sound of angels singing and surrounded by beaming white light.♡ARRIVAL AND UNBOXING♡The pillow arrived pretty quick, inside a small-medium sized cardboard box which was deceptively heavy. Inside the box, the pillow is vaccum sealed in plastic. It was exciting to break that seals and watch the pillow start to come to life. There were no unusual or unpleasant odors. This had arrived right as we were headed out for the day, so we had enough time to unbox it, look it over and shake it out a bit before we had to leave. When we got back about 6 hours later, this had grown to a pretty nice size. I thought it was done breathing and gave it a few shakes before my daughter put it to good use. By the next morning, it was even bigger, more cozy and comfy. The unboxing of this pillow was exciting and didn't have a single disappointment. If you don't have the patience for the pillow to open on it's own, you can speed up the process by tossing it in the dryer for a bit. I mention all this because with the holidays coming up, I feel this would make a fantastic gift!♡SIZE AND QUALITY♡The larger pillow is...large! This is what I would call very generously oversized. I want to be very clear though that the super size doesn't make it extra bulky or hard to move around the house. It doesn't take up half of the bed either. But the size is incredible because it embraces you in a super comfortable, ultra supportive 'hug' almost and it is a wonderful feeling! The taller arms make a world of difference and help position the body much more comfortably for doing work, reading, watching TV or just hanging out. I also have to say that the tall back is EVERYTHING! You can lean right back into this, all the way and still have your upper back supported as well as a generous amount of support at the lumbar. You don't have that akward cut off mid back that all the other pillows that haven't evolved, at all, since the 70's do. Even the medium size (Yes, I ended up ordering another one- I couldn't help it! Plus, I wanted a different color) is perfect for my daughter's 5'8" frame.The quality is exceptional. This is another thing that really impressed me, especially because I've been having a run lately with some pretty atrocious 'ordered vs reality' products. These look nice in the product photos, but photos don't really do these justice- they are amazing in person!The material isn't that awful, thin and flimsy velvet that cheep carnival stuffed animals are made with. This is thick, luxurious and incredibly soft. Plus, it is durable too. There isn't a single loose or rogue thread to be found. The stitching (which is hidden) is Hulk strong. How do I know? Well, my daughter throws herself into these pillows daily. I know a lesser quality pillow would split at the seams, sending foam beads flying through the house. These don't show even the slightest bit of stress.Another nod to the quality, and a big reason I'll end up buying the gray color as well (which will be my 3rd, very soon)-My other child is a 180lb Cane Corso who has also taken quite a liking to these. He's a bedding snob, like me, so that speaks volumes. While he does respect 'his' prized possessions, he is a big old louff and, like my daughter, will throw himself on whatever pillow is open- because his days of being so handsome and carrying around that big old head of his are so hard! They hold up to all of us!♡THE FILL♡Another magical thing about these (and a big reason I'm so glad I waited to find the right pillow) is the fill. This isn't cheep polyester fluff that packs down and never comes back. It's also not those awful foam beads that should literally be illegal. This pillow is the only one I've seen that is stuffed with nice chunks of memory foam. It makes a world of difference in the comfort and it bounces right back after use. If you get a pillow filled with anything else, you are both missing out and doomed. Why? Well, any other fill just deteriorates over time, but it honestly seems like this one gets better! And they weren't cheep about filling it up either. You won't find floppy spots that are void of stuffing.♡AESTHETICS♡I've already mentioned how the photos don't do these justice, but beyond the perfect shape and premium material, these are actually very beautiful looking! The tufted arms give these an air of elegance, making them look regal. Those tufts add so much in my opinion and make me look at these more like a piece of furniture, instead of a pillow. The high arms and tall back can both command a presence and hold a focal position on a beautifully made bed or blend in as part of the background. I don't think anyone can argue how unique and beautiful these are either. Just take a look at the other pillows available- plain, boring, blah shapeless blobs. No thanks!The pocket, which is tucked away so it's hidden, but still very easy to access is large enough for phones, remotes and I even keep my mugs in there too! The elastic is nice and stretchy, but still holds (even taller things) securely. It's a perfect addition that is the proverbial icing on the cake.☆I also want to mention that the seller is fantastic.Of course, I reached out with questions, mostly about sizing. They were quick to respond, super helpful, incredibly kind and very polite too! They made me feel appreciated as a customer. It's sellers like this that make me want to buy from them over and over- which is exactly what I did.♡CONCLUSION♡Yep...this is definitely the longest review EVER for a reading pillow, but I can't help it... When I love something this much, I want to tell the whole world why.I also take my responsibility as a viner seriously and always write honest reviews. But the biggest reason I'm so extra is because I am a consumer who heavily relies on reviews from other consumers, before spending my hard earned coins. I include all the details I would want to read about- big or small, positive or negative- in my reviews, so if/when you decide to purchse (which I HIGHLY recommend here!), you will know exactly what to expect, with no suprises.I really can't think of any good reason why you shouldn't order this though. It's cozy, well made, beautiful and the price is right. I was anti reading pillow for the past 8 months, so the fact that I now have 2 of these (and I'm about to order a 3rd) really says A LOT!

I wasn’t sure if this was going to be that comfortable but I was perfectly okay with that as the idea was to support me enough so that I could write without killing my wrists but also not put exorbitant pressure on my spine. Well the chair did prop me up comfortably and as I very quickly drifted off I imagined the arms of the chair were the flippers of a dolphin actually I think it was an Emperor Penguin as I recently watched a documentary on finding Shackleton’s boat right near Antarctica. Sorry for the unrelated comment but I was getting at how if someone who had trouble sleeping in “ideal” conditions could drift off sitting up on it in merely minutes- it must be comfortable, from pictures I thought it might be a corduroy material; if indeed it is corduroy it is the softest I have ever felt. I love the pockets it’s a great idea you can carry the essentials and go relax, I also like that in lieu of a strap of sorts that would pull on the fabric there is a hole in the top that is both part of the chair and the way you carry it. If my phone behaves I will post pictures later but I obviously think it is a good buy. If giving it as a gift to someone who is always doing too much for others maybe include a lovely soy candle, some tea and a book you know they have been dying to read. Thanks for reading!

I wasn’t too impressed when I first opened it, it looked pretty flat and not at all like the cozy pillow I had in mind. But after letting it sit for a day, I was surprised at how much it fluffed up! Now it’s super supportive and perfect for propping myself up while reading or watching TV.The armrests are great for keeping my arms comfortable, and the side pockets are such a useful touch for holding small things like a phone or remote. One thing to keep in mind is that the filling is shredded foam, so I’d definitely keep it out of reach of kids to avoid any mess. All in all, it’s been a comfy addition to my routine, and I’m happy with how it turned out.

A beautifully designed blue velvet-like fabric reading pillow! The fabric is soft to the touch, and It is firm yet not harshly tough at all. It has a good solid cushion for the support of neck, back and lower back so I sit comfortably in a natural position. Love that little pocket on the side to stuff books, phone or whatever needed. The armrests are quite a good height so that shoulders can relax. BTW it arrived in a vacuum bag, so it took a little time to fully expand, but once it did, it was exactly as described. The handle on the top is a thoughtful feature, making it easy for both me and my son to carry it around the house. Overall, I’m happy to find this for my bedtime reading or just throw on the cough for TV time.
