Worked fine for 39 days till it did not. Light now stays on even when not pluged into SP-7. Will not charge at all. Have another cord and it works fine. Just past the 30 days so I cant return it.EDIT: COMPANY WENT FAR AND ABOVE FOR SERVICE ON THIS ITEM. THEY DID NOT ASK ME TO CHANGE THIS REVIED. NOW 100% HAPPY

This is a great charging cable option for my surface laptop 2. Since the surface laptop 2 only has one usb-c port on there, I would like to use it for data devices. But when I am traveling, it will be easier to charge it with a standard usb-c charger. This cable allows me to charge my surface laptop with an USB-c charger but without taking up the USB-c port on my laptop. This worked great so far. I can even charge my laptop via a power bank. It can handle up to 100w max. Really like it so far.

Per the questions this is supposed to work like the original charger, I even bought the updated wall usb charger - I still get the warning - charging slow - use original charger.

The media could not be loaded. This charger does not work. It constantly switches from charging to not charging. Ends up just draining the battery faster. Garbage.

These work as advertised. Both of my usb ports are broken on my surface and if not fot this cord (4th try at one that would constantly work) I would have been in trouble. One of the few that put out a significant amount of power that is in the original form factor.

I've been using this with my Surface Pro 7 and 9 for the last several weeks with zero issues. My devices charge up perfectly, no heat to worry about, and one less charging block to carry around. Highly recommended.

The perfect travel companion for my surface. Makes it so I can use pretty much any USB-c charger to charge my Surface. Awesome!
