Best fitting skull cap I have ever had
My hair is thinning and I keep it cut pretty short. I sometimes ride my bike for 6+ hours at a time and I have burned the top of my head before in lines where the sunlight shown through the air vents in my helmet (giving me an odd "grilled" look). This skull cap is very thin and made of a moisture wicking material that dries very quickly so it does not trap heat or sweat. As an added bonus, it also came in very handy when I was riding gravel trails in Wisconsin and rode through several swarms of gnats. I hate the feeling of a tiny insect crawling on my head under my helmet and this skull cap spared me that discomfort. It also fit perfectly on my head (most skull caps are a little too tight for me to wear comfortably for long periods of time).

Comfortable and serves its purpose
This is the third "skull cap" I've bought here because I lost one and I like having a spare on hand. I use them to protect my skull under my cycling helmet while riding under the intense Arizona sun. All three of these that I've purchased here are sized the exact same and fit my 7-1/4 to 7-3/8 head perfectly. Also they fit my head on top as in there is not a bunch of extra material to clump or pile between my head and helmet. I've tried several other brands from other stores and these are the best and most comfortable I've found.

comfortable but fragile and over priced
I bought this to wear under hiking hat since it's a smaller footprint than the other skull caps.pros -1.comfortWith silicone rubber it stays on my head comfortably and securely. Some other skull cap I have with spandex can be really tight and a bit uncomfortable on my head.cons -1.expensive Way over-priced for such a small piece of fabric.2.fray easilyIt's easily frayed with no contact with sharp objects. The only contact is my fingers with very short nails.I have been wearing Pearl Izumi for a long time and have realized its qualities have been going down.Since a while back, I started to get Castelli whenever I need something new.Castelli may be (and may be not when on sale) a bit more expensive but its fabric and quality are way better.

Looks nice enough to wear by itself
My head size is 7 1/8 and I am bald. This fits perfectly - snug and tight without being too small. With this cap, I can cover the top of my ears and forehead if I choose. This skull cap also looks nice enough to wear on its own. I have received compliments while wearing it, unlike a cheaper mesh type skull cap I have. I need this to protect my head from sunburn. This way I don't have to always rely on sunscreen. The only downside with this cap is that it is very easy to lose, and it is expensive

No more sunburn!
My scalp can't tolerate another sunburn. I bought this to protect my head from the sun while working outside. I haven't had any issues with the sun while wearing this skull cap. I like that it fits snug (hatsize is 7 1/4) and will cover the top of my ears. It doesn't get hot or uncomfortable all things considered, and does a great job wicking away sweat.

A nice investment!
As my hairline is receeding a bit, I find I was often having to sunscreen that area and then while sweating, got a lot of sunscreen in my eyes. This helps eliminate both problems.I have a big head (7 5/8" I think?) so I was a bi nervous about the "One size fits all" but it did fit fine. I was also pleasantly surprised my helmet fit just fine even with the skull cap. I was able to avoid over-sunscreening with prevented sunscreen in the eyes and made for a more enjoyable ride! Not sure about heat dispursement, but it certainly didn't make things hotter at least!

Wish I bought it sooner
I never looked into these because I honestly thought they were for bald guys. While my hair is thinning, I'm far from bald. But on bike rides, My head and forehead sweat pretty badly. Sweat would run into my eyes, especially when stopping to rest. I bought one of these and the difference is amazing. It covers most of my forehead and sweat dripping down is a thing of the past. I even wore it to mow the lawn on a hot humid day with absolutely no sweat issues at all. One of the best pieces of cycling gear I've bought.

Works fine
This goes on my head and under my helmet. It's a tighter weave than most other wicking mesh caps for this purpose, and while it's more expensive, it isn't any major advance over the cheaper models. Still holds a fair amount of water, but that can be an advantage on hot by low humidity days. On high humidity days it's like wearing a wet rag---but then, so are all the other mesh caps. I shave my head, and it does keep 95% of the moisture out of my face. The fabric has a cool silky finish, and fits better than other caps, and the Pearl-Izumi logo is discreet. Would buy again if on sale.

Covers my bald and fits well under the helmet
I was very worried about sun exposure while cycling this year as I'm pretty much bald. I also didn't want to put sunscreen on my head because that would sweat right down in to my eyes no doubt. This fits perfectly without bunching under my helmet, doesn't impede my sunglass use, and seems to do the trick. It arrived quickly as well.

Comfortable, durable and effective.
Excellent quality. Unlike another skull cap I bought, this one has kept it’s shape and hasn’t discoloured. Fits my large head perfectly. Extra fold of fabric along the brow keeps sweat off the face. Very comfortable under a helmet.
