Very clear and top notch sounding music from the player. Feels heavy for its size. Easy to upload music onto the microsd card it comes with, and easy to make a custom playlist. Easy to go through the menu, everything looks to be built sturdy. Looks very nice. It's a bit pricy for an mp3 player these days but this won't have any harmful electronical waves with good audio quality.

Nice mp3 player for the money a great deal. Nice features however the scroll wheel is not very easy to use of your hands are dry other than that excellent quality.

Please Note that I purchased my MECHEN M30 in September 2023. There may have been some subtle changes to its firmware since then.PROS:*Feels solid.*Easy to operate with slight learning curve. *Beyond 20 hours of continuous use on a single charge.*Excellent sound quality with balanced tonality from bottom to top.CONS:*No gapless playback.*Will likely not play audio files in desired sequence.Out of the box, my unit would not play audio files in the correct sequence. Fortunately, a firmware update is available from the MECHEN website that corrects this. Its firmware updates are simple and easy to install. The first update includes the following:“Song sorting rules changed to follow music file title instead of ID3 informationFast forward and rewind, play and pause, volume +- are now all available in the lock screen except the button Menu and Return.”I’m waiting for a firmware update to add gapless playback. Until then, the player gets 3 out of 5 stars from me.*UPDATE 02/02/2025*I wrote a letter to MECHEN inquiring about my concerns with the M30, and received the following reply:“Hello.First of all, thank you for your support and trust.For the three points you mentioned to answer the question, may not make you satisfied.1. You mentioned gapless playback, the player can not do this, all single-core players on the market are so.This kind of function involves the setting function of the music APP whether or not with this kind of option, generally speaking Android system player should be able to, I think it can, because it supports the download APP, go to download the APP that can be with seamless playback function can go to realize it.For now, this type of player is not supported.2. Character truncation problem, the player is determined by the system, according to the pixel points and how many speed reduction to decide, to reach a certain threshold will be truncated or do not show the whole character, some characters are a little wider, but not enough to show the whole character, there will be a whole character does not show the situation.For example: the last one is the M character, but the principle can only be put in half, can not be divided into two halves of the M, then the M is directly not displayed, probably this is the meaning. Using audio editing software, combine the files to make one file. The only drawback to this is that songs within the file cannot be individually selected. But, if you typically listen to albums in their entirety, this should not be much of an issue.

This unit, made of metal, not plastic, is just what an older user needed! Older users soon get frustrated with the difficulties of navigating touch screen for functions, and this Mechen is so user friendly. Popped in my loaded microcars and with all the functions being easy to use. Simple. No complications. Easy. Screen shows covers of ones music. Sound just blew me away! This is what this older user needed all along on tho dreadful flights. Got to 'buy' what entertainment airlines offer these days. I've got my own!

I love it but I do wish it had Bluetooth; besides that it sounds pretty good and I really dig how quick it turns Off & On.

This was exactly what I wanted for my bedroom. Awesome sound quality and controls I can easily find in the dark. If I can't sleep this is what gets me relaxed without disturbing my wife. Love the precise mechanical controls, especially the wheel that navigates through the queue or adjusts the volume, and no touch screen to accidentally activate. Built like a tank and worth every penny. If you want a light thing to run with this isn't it, but for me it's perfectly designed

It's slow and the software is horrible.
