Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy - Nintendo Switch Standard Edition

This game is an excellent addition to my collection, and I was delighted to discover it at a significantly reduced price on Amazon.

Bought this game for my husband who is deployed and sent to him. He got it 2 weeks ahead of when the estimate arrival date by prime. He LOVES this game. We had it yrs ago on the Nintendo game cube and my husband always lamented about how he wish their was a crash game for his switch. When I saw it in the store, I told him about it next time we talk and he had me order it right away. He enjoys playing Crash whenever he has a break or after his shift is over. He has nothing bad to say about the game...and believe me, he lets me know. Some games, like DOOM it required a WiFi connection an sd card to just get started. He took back his first DOOM game because at time he didn’t have reliable internet...but repurchased after he came home on leave. He enjoyed that CRASH was able to be played straight out of package, I guess as card is recommended, and a WiFi connection is needed to play with others over the internet... but for my husband, the best part was to play it right out of the package. No need to sign up for anything online or big update needed to just get started. Granted, I ordered it for him right after game released so it may not need an update yet....but DOOM had just been released when he got it the first time. Highly recommend game for ninetebdi switch for those who enjoy Crash.

Overall this collection represents a great value, having the three original games beautifully remastered in one package and for a low price. The games themselves are fun to play, if relatively similar to each other in terms of gameplay. Each game improves on and adds to the one before it, which is refreshing, but playing them in immediate succession gets a little repetitive. If you consider that there was a year between releases of the three games back on PlayStation, there was time for each game to feel fresh as you moved on to play other things between releases. With all three immediately accessible from the start, it becomes more obvious that the games all play similarly. This is a problem that games in the Mario series seemed to overcome better than Crash Bandicoot, by mixing up more of the gameplay elements outside of the core "move from left-to-right, jump on/over things" formula.Regardless, the N. Sane Trilogy does offer a great, nostalgic trip down memory lane. I felt like I was back at Blockbuster Video playing the demo version on the newly-released PlayStation back in 1996. If you enjoyed these games 20 years ago, you are likely to have a great time re-living the experience with vastly improved graphics, and on Switch all in the palm of your hands if you so choose. If you never played the originals, it's still a worthwhile endeavor to experience these games just to see how they influenced the video game industry. Just be aware that the three games are somewhat similar and adjust expectations accordingly.

I thought this was a racing game. I did not crash alot.
