Glides in any direction but the type of surface makes a big difference
I definitely notice how this exercises the muscles around my knee. As you can see in the photos included with this review the design uses 4 ball bearings on the underside to produce the rolling effect. The up side is that the glider can move in any direction not just forward and backward. One downside I noticed is that there is some resistance with carpets. Using the ropes will help with that when bring your leg back towards you. I also noticed that the resistance was more when I was trying to use the glider sitting in a recliner. Since I found it easier in a chair, I'll stick to using it in a chair. I also tried this on a tile floor where it glides very easily but I don't have a wooden nor a vinyl floor. On the tile floor it is pretty noisy. In fact, even though it glides so well I would not recommend using it on tile floor because I found the noise annoying. If you are playing music or have the TV on that may not be a problem for you. This glider design has both a lip at the front and the back. My men's size 11 feet fit nicely with just socks on but when using the glider while wearing my shoes the tips rest on top of the front lip. The glider is still usable but I have to make an effort for my shoes not to come off of it. Once I've been using it longer I'll update this review with how the ball bearings are holding up on carpet. I also plan to try the glider with a mat once that order arrives.

Mediocre
I don't have a knee injury, but I'm rehabbing the muscles on the insides of my thighs. I have regular flat-bottom gliders but I wanted something that moved more easily. When I saw this I decided to give it a shot.It arrived in a nice box and includes the glider with two pieces of rope. The wheels are metal. They do glide on hard surfaces but they scratched my wood paneling. On carpet there's a lot of resistance so it doesn't exactly glide; this resistance may benefit certain exercises, but for me it's an annoyance.Overall I'm not thrilled with this glider, and I'm not sure I'll use it again.

Helpful for strengthening and knee range of motion ...
This glider is helpful for gentle motion exercises with as much assistance as needed for guiding your knee through range of motion exercises. This smoothly glides on the rollers over hard surface flooring. You can hold the ropes to pull the knee in some or just to guard it while you rely more on using the knee/leg itself. This is great for recovery from injury or surgery and it is helping multiple members of our household who have gone though both.

Good knee exercise device
But better suited for hardwood floors and for the price, leaves something to be desired.Light plastic device to rehabilitate the knee. Drawstrings are attached and rolling balls at the sole.Recommend it be used for hardwood floors as it gets caught in carpeted floors. The price is high and believe for the price, it’s not worth it.Overall, it’s effective but again, there are similar items for the same price.Quick shipping and simple packaging.

It is okay
One of the symptoms of knee pain is being unable to fully extend the knee. My physical therapist tells me to lock my knee and unfortunately it is too painful for me to do so with my right knee. Being only size 5, the shoe is enormous, not anything like the picture. It glides easy and does its job. And it has both the heel cup and also toe cup(?) so the foot feels more secured. I think this device is more for people who are recovering after the knee surgery than people with the onset of arthritis.
