They work good
These welding rods function well the flux has good shielding. They come in a red plastic hard storage case. They are a good value for how many you get though they aren't vacuum sealed. My welder ended up breaking when I was testing them so I didn't get a good chance to practice or weld any tabs to break. I will have to update the review as the rain and snow are here and need to test these another time when my welder works.

Quality
Quality welding rods, on par with other brands. If you're looking at these, you know what 7018 is generally for. Nice to get a 5lb batch at once for large jobs, hopefully means they'll all perform similarly from start to finish.

Nice 5lb pack of 7018 welding rods
Good 5pb pack of 7018 welding rods. Not sure what else to say. Rods arrive encapsulated/sealed in a red plastic holder that ought to keep air exchange and moisture out while closed. If I have any negative opinions further down the line I'll update this review but for now everything looks good.

Hard to strike.
Once you get the rods burning they were smooth , but l had a very hard time getting the rod’s to strike,I tried both pos. and neg. Polarity..

They work fine
These 7018 rods seem to weld just like my others. The only 7018's that I've found to be great are the Excalibur rods, but they are very pricey. For your average around the property welding, these have been fine. 7018's are notorious for their restriking properties and these are no different. The welds seem to be just as smooth as my Viking and Hobart sticks. I am not a professional welder so I might not be able to notice the slightest differences, but for someone who tinkers on the side, these weld as I expected. I will update my review should anything change.

Good rods
Comparable in price and performance to other rods. Arccaptain makes a fine rod. I do like that is comes in a square box. Many other brands uses boxes with rounded edges, or odd shapes. This box will stack well, and fit in standard dimension packs..It lights up good, burns good, and has avg slag.

Quality welding rods
Nice rods that perform very well with mild steel jobs. The iron coating is very clean with no blemishes, the stackable container is a nice feature, and the price is on-par with rods of similar size.

Good burning and clean wleding rods.
A nice 7018 welding rod for a great price. i used these 7018s on mild steel in horizontal and vertical welds and was definitely impressed with them. Easy to strike an arc, hold the arc well, and does a great job a penetration. Slag was super easy to remove with most beads just peeling off!
