A lightweight, easy to use sweater comb that gets the job done well!
This is an excellent scraper/comb for woolens, cashmere, and many other fabrics. Over many decades I have collected a lot of mainly cashmere sweaters but also some different wools including fine merino, mohair, Shetland, thick Icelandic, alpaca, and heavy Norwegian type yarns (such as Dale of Norway). Obviously superfine cashmere, gassato (light, airy knit), or sweaters knitted with a single ply yarn or pieces with a looser gauge may need a more gentle scrape. I prefer combs over fabric shavers because they are easier to use and safer, and I just don’t want a motorized tool for this purpose. The size of this comb is great for my hand and I can pinpoint the areas that always pill more (underneath sleeves and down the sides). I once didn’t pay enough attention to what I was doing with a fabric shaver and shredded some nice cashmere gassato pants. This tool can accommodate all types of knits. I always give my sweaters a quick combing or brushing at the end of the day for lint removal and after cooking, which helps mitigate insect attraction. A quick combing also helps bring the garment back into shape. Highly recommend this lightweight, easy to use sweater comb!

Very good on sweaters and other fabrics
I have sweater shavers that work well on some things. I'm traveling so I bought this to use on my sweaters. Easy to pack in its cloth drawstring bag. I did not bring my cashmere sweaters with me, but I do have 10 wool blend sweaters how differing brands. I found this worked well on most of them. There was one that is mostly synthetic that it didn't work very well on, that one didn't pill much and the comb seemed to make it look worse. Good to test on the vack side first. I dint even attempt to use it on a loose bulky weave chenille sweater. I have several yak hair and angora/mohair hair blend sweaters it did beautifully on. I'm gone for a month so whatever keeps them looking nice while I'm having to wear them multiple times is a big plus! I also have wrist and leg warmers and half gloves that need a going over. I laid my sweaters flat on the bed and worked from there. Such a neat tidy tool to have with me! I would even keep it in my handbag for a quick touch up!

Saved my expensive garment
Wonderful little tool, restored a dying treasured Arc'teryx. Simple, yet elegantly packaged.

works but doesn't last
The cashmere side works well on my cashmere sweaters, and it is a little less hard on them than the one I had before (which was not specifically for cashmere). But after just four months of moderate use, it is noticeably worn and smooth, and doesn't work very well any more. I think it is still worth it, because it really does make my sweaters look better, but I wish it were more durable.
