Seriously impressed with this. It has full sized thread spools and not the shorter ones I was assuming, and everything you would need to start using a sewing machine. It's Singer brand so you know it's good. Scissors are super sharp and great for thread or fabric, needles glide through easily and the large eyes make it easy to thread them. I recommend this for any beginner whether with a machine or by hand or in addition to supplies already at hand.

I really like this beginner sewing set! It really gives everything you need to do some mending. All the items included were well made and I had no issues using anything. I think it is a good kit to have in case you ever need to mend anything. It is just a one and done set instead of getting everything individually which would cost more than this kit.

This is a very decent beginner sewing kit! The 2 pair of scissors and thread snips alone are worth the price. Both pair of scissors are very sharp, and very comfortable handles - soft rubber. The spools of thread are not full spools like you would buy at a sewing store for a particular project but for mending and basic crafting they are more than sufficient. It really does have everything a beginner sewer would need.

As a quilter, I love to gift my sewing friends with things that can be useful. This kit is designed for beginners buts it's a great gift idea for the experienced sewist also. Singer scissors are always very sharp and lest forever.

This is a really nice basic sewing set with everything you need for small projects or repairs. Everything is really nice quality, and the scissors work really great. The threads come in a nice variety of colors so you should be able to match whatever you need for the most part. The set is reasonably priced for the quality of the items and how much is included. I'm really happy with everything.
