This is a resealable zip top pouch of individually wrapped black elderberry Cough Relief Lozenges, from Sambucol. It arrived fresh and factory sealed. I find it a bit hard to open the individual wrappers on these because they aren't the usual twist off wrappers. I have trouble tearing them so I end up using scissors which is a hassle. These are good tasting little lozenges, with a nice elderberry flavor. The outsides of these are hard and the insides are sort of sticky jelly sort of like those old fashioned strawberry hard candies. The elderberry flavor gives way to a eucalyptus flavor in the jelly center. It's not as strong as the famous square lozenges with menthol. When only the center is left, it is very sticky and really sticks to my teeth. I do find these lozenges soothing and good tasting, but I wish they didn't stick to my teeth so much.

Soothing lozenges for when you are under the weather. Trusted company. Elderberry is so great for seasonal issues that crop up.

These are alright, but I wouldn’t choose them over Ricola cough drops which are what I’d usually use. The outer layer tastes very medicine-y, sort of a sickly sweet berry flavor. At the center there’s a eucalyptus flavor which is nicer and more refreshing. There are no active ingredients with a medicinal effect, they’re just sugary lozenges. They claim to provide “powerful immune support” yet there’s no Vitamin C and their medicinal claims have not been evaluated by the FDA. Personally I wouldn’t choose to get these again.

These are the best tasting lozenges I’ve ever had. This brand has the tastiest elderberry Gummies and lozenges it’s hard to not have too many and eat them like candy! I think it helps a bit with my throat as well. But it having a great taste definitely makes it more pleasant than some of the really intense tasting menthol ones that sometimes taste as gross as you feel.

The elderberry tastes good and they definitely make sore throats feel better. I like that the ingredients are a little more natural. My coughs are helped by these lozenges as well, which is great when I’m working or trying to sleep.
