When I first got this to review, I was skeptical about how I'd use it, and a little confused by a device without a big LCD display these days! But after a quick scan of the instructions, it made total sense.Yes, the translation is a little rough, like many imported electronics these days, but it's so simple to use out of the box, there's not much to worry about.This is easy to take manual voice memos or lecture notes, without pulling out a smartphone app, setting up to automatically record nature sounds or any other long-running recordings.You can even set it up to be voice-triggered, in case you need it as a low-cost alternative to a "nanny cam." It's subtle, small, and without any lights on. And is magnetic (see pic of it stuck to my fridge) to mount anywhere you might want it.The first time I tested it out, I forgot to turn it off, and it got nearly a whole day's worth of clear recordings from my living room. Not bad! Kinda funny to listen to the family watching TV and playing games afterwards.Overall, this is a great value for the money. I suggest running the time-set app right away to ensure it properly time-stamps recordings, and familiarizing yourself with the settings. And there shouldn't be any issue with bypassing virus scanning even though the instructions said so -- I was a bit concerned, but I scanned it without issue.Useful accessories: USB-C headphones for easy playback without a computer, USB-C to USB-A cable with a USB-A to USB-C adapter to connect to any charger, PC, or smartphone, and a convenient keyring and lanyard connection.If you need a small, simple voice recorder, this s a great pick for the price!

Does not state in the description that you need an actual whole computer to actually listen to anything or edit. I got it to secretly record an evil neighbor talking trash about me but I can't do anything with it. Like you can't plug the card in an adapter and listen on your phone. So dumb. Might as well get an old fashioned bulky one if you need a whole computer, not even a tablet works. Useless for me. I refuse to buy more tech. Going back to my tiny cassette one from the 80s

Small flash drive size slightly bigger and thicker than SD card pocket size recorder with built in battery that can be recharged using USB or USB C charger with adapter provided for charging cable. Recorder has magnet built in for easy mounting on file cabinet, refrigerator, or carry it on lanyard supplied. USB C headphones provided has all necessary functions to check replay of recording. Nice feature is that connecting recorder with USB cable to PC or laptop allows the recording clips/files to be downloaded and can be played with Windows media player. This allows using programs/apps to transcribe audio to text. I have yet to check this function out completely. Photos of files on recorder is shown, and the clock time/recording time is set or changed from default. Also changed is the text default file of recorder for recording to be loud enough for me and quality. This needs to be further explored. I plan to use this for customer meetings and discussions. Either it can be an audio report or transcribed text document. It will be handy while listening a webinar or training class so I do not have to write notes. Overall pleased with the quality and portability size of recorder.
