Full speed, plug and play, stays cool with heavy use
Full speed on all ports. The price is a great value for networking a home. I have 2gbps fiber internet and both up and down gets all the speed limit. This switch doesn't get hot even from 24/7 heavy internet use and is compact. With velcro, I put this upside down underneath a shelf so it is lightweight. I have another one of these switches connected to each other in another room behind a router mesh system. No problems. Plug and play connectivity.

Solid value
I spent a few hours today throwing numerous iperf3 tests at this switch trying to get it to choke and it's been handling the abuse like a champ. It adds a negligible amount of latency and hasn't dropped any packets during my stress tests. I have it powered with a POE to 12v 2a barrel jack adapter. The switch itself takes 12v 1a input so it's kind of a bummer they didn't just make it POE capable to begin with. But these POE adapters are cheap and work all the same anyways. The switch itself does tend to get a bit warm but it's nothing outrageous that will cause a fire. It has a small footprint and easily mounts under my desk

Speedy and the right price!
Works well at the moment. I was recently upgraded by Frontier to 2.5Mps fiber optic connection and supplied a new eero router. I am feeding the eero from the Fiber optic modem and connected the BrosTrend Switch to the EERO Ethernet output. I then sent the output of the switch to my office, where I wanted the fastest possible connection, and sent another connection from the BrosTrend switch to my Gigabit switch feeding the rest of the house. All cabling in the house is Cat5e. But, what about the speed? Frontier/eero is telling me the connection speed at the router is 2.37Mbps download and 2.55Mbps upload. Testing using Speed Test at my computer finds the average speeds are normally hitting download speeds of 1603Mbps and upload speeds of 2352Mbps across Ethernet. Something is holding back the download speeds a bit, switch or cabling, not really sure! Plastic case, so is very light and feels a bit flimsy, but it should be fine in the protected environment where I have it installed right now. Time will tell and I will post updates if anything changes. So far so good. and it is the right price, and it is a vast improvement over what I had before!

It does exactly what it says it will do, out of the box and every time, at a very affordable price.
There's really no reason to not give this item 5 stars: -It does exactly what it says it will do, out of the box and every time -Packaged well and no useless anything included -Solid build and lightweight It would have been nice if it included even a small ethernet cable but not necessary so all good there. I recommend it if your router has 1 2.5gbe port and you want to expand. So far works great between my desktop and plex server.

Great product at a affordable price
I get the speeds as advertised, I have a 2.5gbps connection and I pull the speeds I expected to get.

It definitely met my network needs.
So far so good with this switch. I am using this in conjunction with my TP-Link BE-25 mesh system. So the BE-25 acts as a router, as I removed the ISP router. This BE-25 router only has two 2.5 gb ports and I connected one port to the BrosTrend 5 port 2.5 GB switch which allows me to expand the number of ports and to use my 2.5 GB MoCa adapter as well as my ethernet cabled devices. I also used a port from this switch to hook into a 1 gb switch for other devices that are ethernet connected. I am very happy with this setup and the BrosTrend switch is working just fine

I was having drops in my home network, and after some tinkering i realized that my older 2.5 switch was the the problem and it had to be replaced. I needed something moderately priced, and after looking i found this switch on amazon. i never heard of the company, but the price and the reviews encouraged me to buy this switch. now, it's been a week since i got this switch and used it and I'm happy to report that it's working well. I've got all ports occupied and transferred some files from my NAS to my PC and I got the full speed of advertised 2.5GB speed. Another comforting point is that this network switch doesn't get as hot as my previous one. hopefully this is a good sign that it'll last longer.
