Ordered this for my mom since she was having trouble walking and carrying her overnight catheter bag and so far, it has worked out great for her. She just slips the strap over her head and has her hands free and doesn't have to worry about dragging the bag behind her or tripping on it, which she had done before and accidentally popped a bag.If it gets dirty you can wipe it clean fairly easily. I only had to completely wash it once, when my mom forget to close the drainage bag inside and it leaked a bit. Machine washed it, didn't fall apart. & left it to air dry so I don't know how it will do in the dryer.We haven't taken it outside yet, my mom uses a leg strapped bag for that, but so far it's been useful to my mom inside the house when she has guests over. It's more discrete and helps her not to be so embarrassed to have her drainage bag out in the open like before.

The shoulder straps and adjusting straps have a satin materials and thus the adjustments for length will not stay in place. The pouch and cord cover are very well made and work fantastic as covers

How to carry a catheter bag without undue stress or pulling on the Foley tube can be a real challenge for a partially ambulatory patient. We've tried several methods from hooking it on a quad cane to hooking it to a walker. They each worked up to a point, but risked pulling or dis-lodging the tube or being too closely tethered to the cane or walker. The ability to carry the bag cross-body to help distribute pressure and keep it close to the body and less likely to suffer pulls or injuries is a good thing. The bag cover itself is light-weight and the zipper at the bottom makes emptying the bag a relatively simple procedure. The long length of the shoulder strap allows the bag to be carried low enough to facilitate drainage. (The photos of the product might better serve patients if the models were carrying the bag properly. You don't wear a Foley as high as some of those photos indicate--not if you want it to drain as it should.) Though it's only been a coupe of days, the advantages of a cross-body drainage bag holder have been apparent. A definite improvement to the other methods we've tried.

I bought this bag for my brother who has to have an indwelling catheter at this time. I loved the versatility of the length of the shoulder strap. He is a tall, big guy that needs to keep the catheter below the bladder level for proper drainage and this bag did just that. It is also nice that he can now do his grocery shopping hands free. I had so many bags to choose from when I was searching for one on line, so I’m glad I chose this one.It meets his needs for normal activity with privacy and it looks like it’s made with good quality materials.

What I like about the Caredgitz Catheter Urine Drainage Bag Holder: I like that the bag does conceal the urine drainage bags that I will be using for an upcoming surgery. The bag wipes cleans easily and dries quickly with light water exposure as I tested it with spraying the bag with water but it’s water resistant not waterproof. I like that I do not have to remove the bag in order to drain the urine bag as the holder has a zipper at the bottom of the bag allowing you to open the urine bags drainage port. The carrying strap has a thin padded region making it more comfortable for when the bag gets fuller. The shoulder carrying strap is adjustable making it comfortable for most people to keep the bag below the bladder for better drainage; plus it allows me to shoulder carry, crossbody carry or wrist/hand carry the bag. The shoulder strap is removable but also can be use to hang the bag. There are two thicker plastic and nylon loop clips that are adjustable and removable. The loop clips can be used to secure the bag to a wheelchair, Walker, crutches or bed. The urine tube cover zips open and closed so you can wrap it around the tubing without having to separate the urine tube from the urine bag. There is even a urine catheter pipe tube cover which I will not be needing as the bag conceals everything for my urine catheter bag. The bag was easy to set up without instructions as it’s user friendly. This urine bag makes it more convenient to transport a urine catheter bag along with help avoid an embarrassing or awkward scenario for myself and others. The bag is machine washable should it need cleaning. There is an external pocket for holding my phone, wallet, keys or supplies. The stainless steel clips rotate 360 degrees keeping the strap from twisting.What I dislike about the Caredgitz Catheter Urine Drainage Bag Holder: Some areas of the bag look like they were quickly sewn without care while other areas look nicely sewn with re-enforced sewing regions for better durability. I think with care this bag will serve me well for the two weeks I will be using the bag as duck cloth is strong and durable. I will update my post should it fail.
