Everything I hoped and dreamed it would be
Update: The latest patch gave players the option to disable the motion blur effect. That was awesome! The game feels so much better with the motion blur disabled in my opinion. Completed all three games and still replaying them. =DThe original Spyro trilogy was my all time favorite games I've ever played. I had long hoped for a remaster, especially after the Crash series got the treatment. I pre-ordered on the first day and was extremely happy that Amazon delivered on time. This is great service since I live in a small, remote town in Colorado and shipping doesn't always work out for us in a timely manner. My first play through the initial levels felt perfect. It goes without saying that the game looks worlds better, but the controls feel better than ever. The movement feels a lot more precise and the camera is very responsive. You can still go into the settings and change it to an Active camera so the view follows Spyro's movements even tighter. Whether you bash enemies or burn them to a crisp, the feedback is excellent from the playing perspective. One thing I've noticed is a ton of backlash at Activision for having downloadable content. I understand the frustration entirely when it comes to slow internet connections, but I hope I can shed some light on the reasoning behind it. I did some research and found out the total install size for the game is 67.5GB. Currently, the max size for PS4 Blu-rays is 50GB. I personally feel like this shows that Toys for Bob and Activision did the best they could do in a reasonable time. I understand that some people would argue that the games should have been compressed more, but I think this is unrealistic based on how much content is involved in this remaster.I highly recommend this game to anyone, especially to those who enjoy platformers. If you enjoyed the original Spyro games on PS1, then don't wait. This is a great experience and is certainly the kind of game I plan to play through multiple times. My already high expectations were nicely exceeded!

Beautifully restored classic games
Pros:+ Beautifully remastered. There's a huge variety of eye candy in these games. Many different characters, enemies, animations, and effects. The stylized look makes the game appear like an animated movie.+ Massive improvements to the original Spyro. Giving every elder dragon a unique design and personality elevates the gameplay experience.+ Controls are responsive most of the time.+ Good audio experience when playing in surround sound. Voice acting, music, and other audio all updated.+ Authentic experience. Developers iterated over and improved the original games -- parts good and bad.Cons:- Huge downloads required. Apparently the publisher did not bother to put all the games on disc.- Camera does not handle charging and super-charging well. Fast sequences can be difficult to control. Flying is also somewhat affected, but not as badly.- Collect-a-thon gameplay can feel tedious at times, particularly in the second and third games.Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. I never got to play much of the original PlayStation Spyro games. Reignited definitely improves upon the old gameplay formula, visual design, and character roster. Playing the game with modern A/V equipment and HD resolution beats the old tube TV and PS1 experience. I do hope that Reignited leads to new Spyro games that build upon everything established in these games. I don't want to see another reboot or redesign like what was seen in the Legend series and Skylanders series.

The only good remaster
This game is the exception that proves the rule. The creators of this game faithfully and lovingly remastered and even improved the original, classic Spyro games. I grew up with Spyro and love it incredibly, especially Spyro 1/Spyro the Dragon, which Toys for Bob went above and beyond on by designing unique dragons for every dragon trapped in crystal. Despite a few unfortunate changes forced by the studio, such as the replacement of the gnorc guns, these games are excellent and definitely worth a play for new players and old fans alike. In a sea of disrespectful and low-effort remakes, this remaster shines as a beacon of what they're meant to be.

Really fun.
This game is simple, but if you like dragons you will have a blast. Graphics are really good, and the Carter models are well put together. The plot in all three games is simple and your kids will get a good laugh here and there. The negative point is something that may bug some people, and others maybe not. The first game shows quite a lot of rear ends of the Norcs. When attacking some they will turnaround in fear, and their pants will fall slightly showing some of their rear end. Also one of the bosses you fight shows his and you must burn his backside to beat him. Also the fairy's dresses don't cover enough of their legs in my opinion, and the dress does not cover enough of their top. But if you let your kids watch stuff like Starwars the clone wars this is much more mild than that. The other two games are really good though and I think they alone would be worth the money. The only thing I did not like about the third game was some romance between two carters, but I don't like romance so if you don't mind your kids seeing some romance then this game will be fine. All in all I would say this is a good game, and if you don't mind the native points I have stated then your kids will be very safe playing this game.
