Weigand Mini 14 Ranch, Mini 30, Pc-40, Pc-9, Carbine and Deerfield Scope Mount, Picatinny - Black

This mount works really well. I would suggest anyone looking for a mount for their Mini consider this. I previously purchased one of the inexpensive Chinese made mounts - and without a doubt, you get what you pay for. It's all about how it mounts to the Weaver mount on the Mini - the cheap mount uses two cap screws and a piece of aluminum to pick up the Weaver - and it doesn't work properly, stay tight, and is really not worth your time to mess with. This Weignad mount uses a single screw with a properly shaped machined washer to pick up the Weaver, and it works like a charm. I really wish I hadn't tried to save $30 the first time around.The only unexpected thing was this mount required the rear sight be flipped up and left up before mounting it, as it won't clear the rear sight in the stowed position on a 185 series Mini. Since the iron sights can't be used with the rail in place, it seemed odd that it didn't have a machined clearance to allow the sight to be in the stowed position. I may make a modification to the rail to allow this and not expose the rear sight to possible damage by being flipped up when not in use. All in all a minor issue.

Very well made and went on without a problem. I like that it did not require removal of the rear sight.

Got this to mount a Bushnell Trophy Red Dot TRS-25 on my Ruger PC40. It was more $ than I wanted to spend but because the Ruger is no longer in production, accessories are hard to find. The rail mounted easily and very securely in under 5 minutes. After 100 rounds at the range the mount is absolutely secure and the red dot remains right on target. I recommend this to anyone who has the need.

Fits the mini 14. The front cross slot machined slightly narrower. Not sure why. Had to use the next slot. No big issue unless the scope is much longer than normal.

Fits the standard mini 30 perfectly, I had to cut a portion off for it to fit on my mini 30 with an aftermarket tapco intrafuse stock.
