My husband likes to surprise me with flowers occasionally...and sometimes forgets to check and see if there is flower food with the flowers. More often, than not, there is NO flower food, so the flowers don't last very long. I decided to alleviate the problem of not having flower food, and purchased this flower food. It works great, and will last me a long time and it doesn't matter if the flowers don't have the flower food packet.

I always use the food that comes with the flowers, but what about when changing the water a few days later? Now that problem is solved and my flowers stay healthy much longer

These inexpensive packets are worth the money if you like to refresh your cut flowers. After a few days, when water starts looking murky, trim the flower stems and put new water in your container with the appropriate amount of this preservative and your bouquet will last a few more days.

The product served its purpose, but it did seem to be a tad old. The powder was clumped in a lot of the packets and had to be broken up prior to use. Overall, for the price it worked wonderfully.

I usually put 2 packets into a vase of fresh flowers every 2 days, as well as changing out the water and trimming the stems and I really think this is the key to keeping your flowers lasting a really long time! Depending on the flowers, I've had bouquets last me 2 to 4 weeks! Without flower food, I've never gotten fresh flowers to last over about 1.5 weeks. The key is changing out the water and trimming though. This will do you no good if you keep the flowers in the same water the whole time.

I really have no idea what's in this but it helps keep flowers from the yard or the farmer's market fresh all week long. When I buy from the store I get the packet from there but sometimes they don't have them. Forgot how many in the order but it'll last me a few years at the rate I use them.

My wal mart flowers last for 2 to 3 weeks with this additive!
