I have 4 of these things in my 4 raised bed gardens , had 2 and worked really well so I got 2 more now I have one for each bed. You can defiantly save a lot of water and know how much your watering with these water meters. You can go to the GPM screen and look at the flow how many gals. you want to water and how large a area for a give amount of time. If you want 1" of water so if your area is 10' x 25' = 250 sq. ft. . It take .623 gal. to equal 1" of water per sq. ft.. So you take 250 x .623 = 155.75 min / 60 = 2.60 hrs. to get 1" of water on that size of area., and it tells you how many gals. you put out. I have regulators on so I can adjust the flow, If you want to have a more soaking watering you can dial back your pressure but increase your time and you can get the same amount of water. The rain don't hurt them at all there on my gardens and so far no water got inside of the unit, No leaking fittings so far they fell like a good meter, I like that you can flip the screen over so you can read it. The reverse flow would be handy to do which I didn't need to but I can see where ti would come in handy.

I won’t end up killing my new landscaping plants with kindness by overwatering. Got lucky. Yesterday was a hot day. Checked on plants. Morning-looking good, moisture check was moist. In afternoon-plants still looking good. At 7pm bed check on the plants-Oh no! Moisture check -dry. Alas. As much rain as we have had they should still be good. Rain Point to the rescue.Activated timer(actual first time I got to use)did not disappoint. Got the hang of that item-Sweet. Clouding up- could rain be coming-your guess as good as mine. Checked moisture levels again. 3 plants said We need more water please. Attached the flow meter to my hose end so I could give enough water till the rain starts possibly. I could measure effectively for each plant for its needs. Just as I finished the touch up the rain started. Now I could tell with Rain Points products that I hadn’t overwatered before the rain. All plants looking good this morning. Got a lot of hot weather coming up. Now I can relax-Rain Point has me covered. This Flow meter is built to last. No leaks.

Only reasonably priced water meter that is correct. Have bought several priced a little less. Was interested in this one bc of brass connections as the plastic ones leak often as threads get crossed. I didn’t expect accuracy as well but surprised me! It’s accurate and the flip view is a great feature. Love this meter! Wish I had bought it 3 meters ago.

This meter has enabled me to fill Fresh tank on RV with 5 gal before driving, and fill black tank with 2 gal with accuracy. Prior to having the flow meter I wild guessing.It also shows me how much water we use each day. This is very helpful when boondocking.Would definitely buy again.

Great product but after installing on my garden hose I am concerned how much water I am using why watering my plants. This product is pretty accurate they must have for watching your water and how many gallons you use

Seems very solid and well built, better than expected. Larger than expected, think tennis ball, but small enough to keep on a boat or RV. Accuracy stated at +-5%, higher than I prefer, but in this price range that's typical. Mine tested to be less than 2% high at 3 gal/min. Wish it had a calibration feature in the software to adjust accuracy, but knowing my unit is within 1 gal at 50 gals measured is useful. Display rotating 180* is easy, so is measuring flow in both directions and conveniently labeled. 3 modes are selectable, Last mode resets itself at 30 secs if water stops, Total 1 and 2 are reset manually. Can't assess durability yet, but chose brass inlet/outlet to prevent damage to threads from periodic use. Instructions are also better than most, but still a few translation errors that cloud intent. Powers off automatically and takes a button cell CR2032. Probably 5 stars if it hold up, despite noted minor shortcomings.

I wanted to know how much water was being used by my 6 zone drip watering system that I have for my vegetable garden. I already have a RainPoint timer that I have been using for some 4 yrs without any problems so I was comfortable knowing this gauge would be of high quality. You might be interested in knowing that I am using the RainPoint timer to act as a on/off valve to keep water from backing up and comntaminating my house's water supply. Remember that a hose filled with water will heat up in the sun forcing water to backup into the house .
