Fantastic product. I am the Manager of Technical Training for an international manufacturing company & tried these out to help with training students that speak english as a second language. We have had a number of Spanish speaking students that originally tried the translator with and it worked great. These students all had a good command of English so it was easy to confirm the accuracy of the translations. The real test came when we hosted four Vietnamese engineers for training. The translator system again was extremely helpful and assisted in the successful outcome of the class. I would definately reccomend the Vasco Translator E1 to anyone needing to effectivaly communicate with people that speak a different language.

The earbuds are basically useless but the translator is actually good don’t buy the ear buds

This is a pricey but impressive piece of technology, with a couple of confusing design choices. It's basically a pair of earbuds that allow real time translation of spoken language between two people, each using the app and one of the ear buds or even just the app. I tested this with listening to Spanish language television programming and the translation was terrific. The only glitch I had was I needed to tell it to translate by pressing a control on the screen rather than it translating in real time. Still , it was very impressive, as it kept pace with someone who was speaking very quickly in Spanish, something that often gives me trouble to follow along. I can see this as being a useful tool for language students, and not just for travelers. While learning Spanish and French, I often remembered my vocabulary but had trouble hearing individual words from native speakers when they talked at might be a normal rate for them, but sounded fast for me. With this, I could see the words in Spanish while the TV personality spoke and could follow along much better than usual. This is a terrific product that I'm going to have to learn to use better. If I find out any better insights, I'll post an update, but I suggest anyone considering this to spend some time learning from tutorials as this could be a game changer for travelers and students. The one thing I'm confused about is why the buds seem to have separate cases but share a charging port. Maybe I'm missing something. The manual is very thick, but there are only about 8 pages for each language, just a lot of languages in the same manual.

When looking at the description of this item, I was hoping to get a universal translator like they have on Star Trek. This is not a universal translator, and it doesn't seem much different than any of the other translators on the market. One person can speak into it in their language, and this device will translate it to your language. It doesn't work so well in a conversation, but it may save the day when you need to ask where the bathroom is.

Bought it for my wife who works with Seniors that speak different languages (Spanish, Portages, Mandarin, Arabic, among others), When it works it is amazing. Their eyes light up they hear her "speaking" their language and they can have a free flowing conversation. the bad: The systems looses the connection to the phone constantly, and the earpieces keep loosing connection even after a full charge and the phone and ear pieces being within 2 feet of each other. Sending it back for now, but we can see the future and it is good.

I am very impressed with them. It takes a little playing around with in order to understand how to use them, because there are a few different options for using. First of all, you need to download the app in order to use the earbuds. If you are trying to talk with another person, each person puts an earbud in. You set the two languages you are trying to communicate in. There is an option to tap the earbud and start speaking, and then the app translates for the other person into their language. There is another option that you wear the earbud and touch it to speak, the translated voice will play from the phone speaker, you should tap the screen for the other peoson to speak, then you can hear the translated language from the earbud. That version a person has to be actively using the app. The last option is also the one i use most, and it would me the easiest option...two persons wear earbud each, just tap "start conversation" on the app to freely talk. You both don't have to touch the earbud, it's very convenient. Sometimes the translation can be inflenced by other people's voice around, but not a big deal. Overall, these are very impressive if you have some translation purposes.

Ne pouvant appairer les écouteurs à mon téléphone et après avoir testé toutes les démarches notées sur l'aide associée au coffret, je les ai contacté. Ils sont d'une très grande disponibilité et efficaces. Mon problème a ainsi été résolu. Axe d'amélioration, une notice de mise en service , mise en charge, voyants à la MES, etc.. ;sur le site aurait évité un dérangement du SAV. Conclusion, très bon article et société sérieuse.

Achei que a tradução fosse simultânea pelo valor do fone, tem um delay. Por essa razão não achei legal. Fones com delay tem milhares e muito mais barato
