The Name of the Wind: 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition

Finally received my gorgeous copy of this book late today, even though it should have arrived by the 19th July (crappy royal mail service) yet again. An awful lot of things I get delivered via Royal Mail turn up late/very late. Cannot fault the seller as they immediately sent me an email offering to send another copy or a refund. Book is a beautifully illustrated edition with red sprayed edges and an amazing removable jacket. Will read once and keep as part of my collectable editions,highly recommended.

The book itself is quite poor quality, the paint on the sprayed edges has chipped in parts on arrival. The paper is thin, the illustrations are black and white which is fine but there aren't many of them. Not sure this is worth the price.

After 2 superb books, we get an anniversary edition of the first, while we are still waiting for the 3rd and (supposedly) final. I cannot believe the gall of the author or publishers, or both.

While the illustrations are excellent, the character representations may interfere with your long held imaged in your head. Otherwise, this book is a gem. I'm reading it to my 8 and 10 yr old girls and they absolutely love the story and the book it self.

Llegó en perfectas condiciones. No tenía el plástico protector pero afortunadamente el libro no llegó dañado. La versión se ve muy bien y se siente la calidad del libro.

Não tem muito o que descrever sobre.A naturalidade que Patrick possui para com sua obra é algo ímpar na literatura fantástica, seja ao se tratar de diálogos, dilemas, desenrolares da trama ou seja na narrativa simples e objetiva, mas com uma leve pitada de poesia que dá um sabor inconfundível à leitura.Esta é uma obra digna da atenção de qualquer um que procure DE VERDADE por uma obra inesquecível.

Ya me había leído el libro en castellano como unas 5 veces cuando descubrí esta edición. Nunca me había comprado una edición coleccionista, me parecía un derroche cuando ya tenía una versión, pero ésta me atrapó desde el principio. El precio es el normal para algo de este calibre, las ilustraciones son magníficas (aunque chocaron con la imagen que tenía yo de los personajes y el mundo, pero esto es normal), el material adicional del final es un agregado muy adecuado, y los bordes de las páginas en rojo, una delicia. Estéticamente es impresionante, incluso sin la sobrecubierta, que, aunque simple, se puede ver grabado "valaritas", un detalle que personalmente me sacó una sonrisa. Las filigranas y las frases de la parte interior de la portada y contraportada son muy elegantes, y la prosa de Pattrick Rothfuss es magistral. En general, una edición coleccionista que vale lo que cobran, y quizá más.
