Great, inexpensive pole saw if you already run DeWalt 20v products.
I purchased this pole saw because I already own/run DeWalt 20v cordless tools and needed a saw like this to do maintenance around my small ranch. This pole saw works great for keeping limbs clear on trails and pruning limbs on trees near the fields where I run the tractor. It has a manual oiler, and I suggest getting some cheap 3-in-one oil (light machine oil) to keep the reservoir filled. My only complaint is that the saw can get clogged with saw dust at times, but the tool less blade cover allows you to remove/clean the blade area. The blade can be sharpened and/or replaced as necessary. The unit is robust, and depending on the batteries you use, you can cut quite a lot with a single battery. It has the power to cut through larger limbs relatively easily, and at full extension provides quite a bit of reach. This definitely beats manual pole-saws for larger jobs (like trail maintenance). If I could find one with a slightly longer blade (12 inches), I would buy that, but it isn't a show stopper. I would buy it again.

Great saw for the price.
Arrived quickly. Had my doubts about a battery powered saw, but used it for the first time the other day and was surprised at how great it worked. Used it to trim up some of my trees and it has awesome power and the battery life was also very surprising. If you’re looking for a battery powered saw to do some small trimming jobs around the house, look no further. The extension pole also works great and extends to around 11 ft.

Good option with hand and pole saw
The item doesnt look that impressive until u look at in detail. Pretty slick construction and works well. I cut a few tree limbs 6 inch diameter in a few seconds. Obviously being battery operated it isnt as powerful as gas but still great item to have around the house. Nice little hand saw when not attached to the pole

Works great!
For the price this little bugger can't be beat! I've only used it for a few branches so far but I am really impressed. It made short work of 3 and 5 inch branches I needed gone.It may be a little heavy and awkward for some folks when fully extended. But I'm a big dude and it was pretty easy to manage fully extended with both my arms fully extended to cut higher branches.Accepts Dewalt 20hv and rips through branches with ease for just over $100. What's not to like?

Works great
I was doubtful that this would actually work. It actually works great! And I am used to using gas chainsaws and own timber property. I used it to cut some smaller trees down, and some overhanging limbs at my house. While this comes with a charger, I took a change and put it in my DeWalt battery charger and the battery charged right up. I also used a DeWalt battery in it, and it worked. The chain arrives very sharp.I honestly feel like I have already gotten my money worth since I did not have to climb up on a steep roof to get overhanging (oak) limbs. I would buy this again. I did get it on sale; definitely worth what I paid.

Defective safety switch
Some unexpected inclusions are a second chain, oil, and safety googles. There is a small plastic switch that disables the saw. It worked... for 3 or 4 cuts. My wife discovered that the safety switch stopped working. If one of us accidentally hit the trigger, the saw would spin, no matter the position of the safety switch.I could write it off as defective, but the safety switch is very flimsy. The trigger switch seems flimsy as well. I don't have confidence that a replacement saw will continue to work beyond the 30-day return window.I like it, but I want to work safely. I will pay more for a different brand.

LOVE LOVE this mini saw!!
I am the type of person that only reads reviews, BUT this tool is so fantastic I have to write. I am a strong woman but do not have a lot of strength lifting above my head; however, this mini saw is light and nicely balanced so I had no problem cutting a huge number of tall branches. The saw cuts quickly and easily as I worked for over an hour without draining the battery. The option to operate the saw without the pole is terrific quickly chopping up the debris for an easier removal. Great value as I was able to accomplish tree trimming (even got up on a step ladder and got higher branches!) that I normally would have had to hire a tree company. The largest branch I cut was about a 4" calipre. Highly recommend!

better than expected!
I was really suprised to see this package came with a small bottle of oil, a file to sharpen chain,a cleaning brush, and even an extra chain. I didnt see it in the ad, but the pole can be swiveled, and the saw angle adjusted at the end of it. Also, it had more power than i expected, much faster and easier to use than my oil pole saw
