LED Strip Lights, 16.4ft(5m) 300 LEDs Waterproof Led Rope Lights with 44-Keys Remote Controller, SMD 5050 Mood Lights for Indoor and Outdoor Decoration Gift

(I have updated the review from 3 to 5 stars. See at the end.) Bought these last week for the back of the TV as a test to see if they are bright enough to go behind the sofa for background lighting. They are bright enough and cool to the touch, even after several hours of use, but there are some drawbacks. Firstly, the tape on the strip is not good but it does come with an extra roll of stronger tape. There is not enough to cover the whole 5m though so you have to be selective on where you put it. It was easy to fit on the back of the TV but would have been a bit untidy round the corners so I bought some 90 degree connectors and cut the strip to tidy it up. The cut points are every 5cm and easy to connect. Just peel back the silicone coating about 3mm (for the copper contacts to slide into the connectors) and cut with scissors. Cutting does void the warranty so up to you if you want to risk it.Next is the power supply. It comes with a 12V 3A power supply and IR controller. The product manual says the lights are 45W so if you are running the whole 5m strip on full brightness white lights it would need 3.75A (Watts/Volts=Amps). I only used just over 3m on the TV so it is running under 3A. I presume the lights would be a bit dimmer if using the whole strip on white, which is achieved by having red, green and blue on maximum. I was planning on using the spare strip I have to extend the next 5m strip I buy. It will be about 6.5m to run round the back of the sofas so I will have to buy a 6A power supply and IR controller if I go down that route. I probably will do that as other cheap models will be around the same spec and maybe different colours. I can pick up a 6A controller and power pack for £10 on Amazon and keep the other as a spare or use it in another room and just buy a strip on its own for £8 instead of a kit. Works out no more expensive then.Finally, the controller lets you set the lights to static, flash (single colour), jump and fade but I cannot get the DIY function to work. This is not really a problem as there are 20 colours to choose from but some people might find it a problem. It might be a faulty controller, which I will find out about if I buy the next set. There are 8 brightness levels and 8 levels of speed for the colour changes. The 3 and 7 settings on the jump and fade are set colours and cannot be changed.Overall these lights are good value, even with the drawbacks. You could go and spend twice as much on a different set but from reading other reviews they probably wont be any better than these. With an Amazon promotion I picked them up for £16. Unless you want to spend a fortune getting an electrician in this is the way to go.UPDATE. I bought the second set and an upgraded power supply and controller as the run was 6.5mtrs. As this one was running just under the top of the sofa I screwed a 15mm white plastic angle trim to the wall and placed the strip on that. There is no weight on the strip so it stays in place perfectly. (The one on the back of the TV, which is now on the wall, has had to have a couple of spots glued as it kept coming loose). It really is great background lighting on both sets and very bright. I still could not get the DIY function to work when I fitted the second set though.Innoo Tech emailed me yesterday to say they were willing to give me a refund or replacement after reading my review. I told them that i had written it to help others that were asking questions and had no need to take the lights off the back of the TV when they were working adequately. I finished the email by saying that I was planning on fitting another set under the kitchen units and if they wanted to send me another set I would give them positive feedback. To my surprise they answered this morning and said they are sending me another set. How about that for customer care.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  These lights are awesome! My sons LOVE these. I got the 16.4' strip lights and they cover all along the back of his two 42" screens. They are super bright! All the setting options allow you to customize it in just about any pattern you want. Working great. Highly recommend.

Lights arrived in time and neatly packed. They look really cool and they have plenty of options. You can change colours, ajust brightness, chose flashing patterns and other settings. And it's easy to do so with remote control. Also there even self adhesive tape added in the box. So the window dressing for the Christmas should be easy.

Firstly I am super happy with the supplier and the product. The lights are super bright, loads of choice for colour and patterns and they appear to be of a good quality.The main problem for me is that it says on the box (via a stick on label) that the lights are waterproof and to a high IP rating. This is untrue as the only thing that is waterproof ar the lights themselves. The remote, powere adapter and remote sensor are not and are only suitable for indoor use. If you are not aware then you could be in for a very big shock LITERALLY! Please be aware.I installed all of the electrical bits inside a sealed box FOR outside use that I purchased from Tool Station and so it is now fit for purpose.This should not detract from the product because it reall does look amazing at night :-)

I bought their I have a 55 inch TV which is almost bezel-less and I placed my led strip about half an inch away from the edge all around the edge of my TV and I was still left with , and I had to cut off as excess. The length of strip is much longer than I thought. Deserve the price.

I installed them under my kitchen cabinets and I love them! The lighting is crisp and the dimmer is a great addition. The strip is easily extended past places that do not require lighting with a bit of soldering and wiring with a little skill. I bought 2 sets-would definitely recommend!

We created a mini cinema room/den for our teenage boys and purchased this strip of leds. They are easy to apply (we ran them just under our coving) but the sticky tape isn't quite strong enough to keep the strip held up so we added some extra double sided tape. The remote control works to a degree, but has to be held very close to the main unit. That said the colours are wonderful and add a real sense of magic to the room in the dark so for the money I think they're good value.

I have used these outside and so far looking great and holding up.The additional sticky tape supplied is helpful when fixing it as the standard sticky tape doesn't always grip. Although it really does depend on what you fix it too.The remote is great, loads or options to choose.Personally it be nice if you can customise which lights show during the fade sequence.Would buy again
