Reliable sensor.
Not much to say. Totally reliable, pairs with everything I tried. This is my second unit, the battery door is much improved, still watertight but easier to open.

Great on all fronts... hardware, software, durability
Really love this HR monitor. Went with an off-brand arm mounted optical sensor, and it was not accurate when rowing, which I think may have more to do with the excercise than the device, but this chest strap is super accurate. I love that it can record a workout and save it in memory, OR be connected to your phone. for rowing, I havei t connected... but for crossfit workouts where I have worn it, I simply download it after. The app is awesome! Love seeing how my HR progressed through the workout. I thought the strap would bother me, but it does not. I also love the fact that I just don't have to worry about charging this thing! The battery life is a tremendous advantage.

Quality product. Be careful of strap size!
I use this mostly on the Peloton. It connects reliably and works well.Be careful of strap size when you order! Most of the product pages are not clear about size (there is no ‘choose size’ drop down). The first one that I ordered came and the strap was tiny. I went back and looked at the product page, and the small size was mentioned in the last bullet of the product details. The one I got second had the size in the product header/title.

Really nice sensor, Polar app needs work.
I purchased the Polar H10 and am well pleased with the Heart Rate sensor itself and ease of use. Pairs easily with my iPhone 7 and third party apps. It pairs well with my COROS Pace smart watch for most activities. Will not pair with phone or watch for swimming due to limitations of Bluetooth’s ability to function in water. The Polar H10 has a mode where it can record HR during an workout and then download the data to your phone after the workout allowing you to record HR data for a swim. A nice feature in the sensor. Only thing is to use this feature it appears you have to use the Polar beats app which still seems to have a few bugs. Swimming is not on the menu for an activity so you have to select another activity scutch as walking, running, other indoor, ect. I see no way to export this data to a third party app from Polar beats. The most annoying thing about the Polar beats app is that it will not work with the polar hr sensor if it is paired in the general setup in the phone. Third party apps don’t have this quirk. Like the sensor and hope the app gets better. They are making freq updates but I don’t understand how they can miss that swimming is not on the main menu for workouts. For biking, walking or running using third party apps I have had no issues with the H10 performance.

Great
Recently diagnosed with heart and lung issues I decided to get back in some kind of shape. For years I neglected my health as I was always too busy working and needed all my energies to do my jobs. Now I have time so I needed something to help me train at my best levels. This Polar works wonders with my stats and lets me know if I'm dogging it or working to my desired range between 80-90%. I can seek my improvements in the numbers and can progress as my endurance increases. It would have been more of a guessing game without this Polar device and app. Now I can workout smooth and by the numbers.

Connection problems, app issues and customer service sucks
The strap performs well when it is working. However as others have reported, sometimes it is IMPOSSIBLE to connect. Also they have two apps, Flow and Beat. The Flow app is good for documenting workouts, real time monitoring, showing average and max heart rate, but doesn't have a real time graph. The Beat app has a kind of funky but usable real time graph but doesn't display the average and max heart rates. Why the frick can't they have one app that combines all the features!!? And I don't want to say that some of the UI functioning is stupid but some of the UI functioning is stupid lol. Also the saved data in either app is supposed to shared by both apps but that's a crap shoot. Oftentimes the Flow app won't pick up workouts initiated in the Beat app and vice-versa. On top of that I want to make changes in my profile but it appears they screwed up my authentication and NOW their password reset link won't send a link to my email. They used to have phone support but they dropped that and went to live chat, dropped that and went to strictly chatbots that are wholly unresponsive. I can only guess that they are overrun with support issues and are on the run because they can't deal with them all. Some time back I purchased an Ignite watch from them and had issues with its functionality. At that time I called their support in Finland and they could not resolve them and as I recall tacitly acknowledge that there was nothing that they could do so I returned it. I highly recommend checking out the complaint blogs.. trustpilot etc., and reading the negative reviews before buying any of their products. I've been through all the blogs and find many other users experiencing the same issues that I'm having and they come to no resolve. They need to fire the CIO and replace the coders.

Great tracker, crappy Polar app
I love this tracker, I use it paired to my rowing machine. Excellent accuracy there. The accuracy while paired to the rowing machine AND the Polar app is terrible. I have a 167bpm heart rate in the rowing app and 77bpm in the Polar app. But if I don't bother with that and just do the rowing app, things are just peachy. Way better than either of my Fitbits which fare like total pieces of crap.

Best HR monitor I've bought.
I bought this about 3 months ago and use it with the Polar Beat mobile app. It's worked great and I use it 5-6 times weekly. Tracks great and syncs easily with the app. For me no need to wear a watch is a huge win, as I use it in the gym more than out running. Highly recommend.
