Kotobuki Maneki Neko Charm Shigoto-un Collectible Figurine, Successful Career, Red

Nice addition to my desk I had to get the red, black, & white to match my decor. They are made well and much nicer than I thought they would be. Very good deal! Would make a wonderful gift for anyone who has a cat or loves cats!

A long time ago, my mom gave me a green feng shui cat from this set for my birthday or Christmas (for academic fortune). I still have it and when I started at my current job, I decided to see if the brand was still around so I use it for desk décor. I got this one because it represents luck at work. It's very cute and though I'm not much for feng shui, a little luck never hurts!

The first one of these I purchased this one in the gift shop of an art museum and really liked it so I got a few more online and now I have 6-7. But I noticed something, that the one I got in the museum had instructions in English for where to place it, and most of the other colors, in the proper direction that it's supposed to face if you're interested in the feng shui aspect of it too. The ones I've gotten off amazon either don't have any info inserts or they're in Japanese. So: it has directions for yellow, red, white, green, pink, black and gold (there are more colors available of these and other maneki neko charms, but they're more 'modern' so I haven't been able to find any specific instructions on where they should be placed). Red ornaments should be placed facing EAST in order to bring you good fortune in career/business. Hope that helps anyone interested in feng shui! (I'm not super into it, but I am a little superstitious so I do have mine facing east) There are apps you can download that give you cardinal directions if you don't have a compass.

This cat is absolutely adorable and the paint is a great bright red. It's a small size so fits anywhere. Makes me happy to look at it on my desk at work.

This is so cute! I got it to put on my desk at work and I get comments on it all the time.It stands a couple inches tall and wide - it's just the right size for desk dressing. I also, of course, keep it facing the right way since you never know.I will totally be getting some more of these in various colors for people in the office!

I read up on the history of this maneki nekko and gave 3 of them away as gifts with the story behind them. It made the perfect gift and conversation starter. Just perfect!
