This does just about everything
This is a fantastic value. I was able to eliminate two flimsy hubs and daisy chain several SSDs, an external hard drive, connect a remote portable monitor without a hiccup. The best part, from my perspective, is that I am able to plug my Lunda Display dongle directly into the hub instead of the back of the iMac 27 inch (2020) and it works seamlessly. With every other hub or dock I've tried the Luna dongle will absolutely not work unless it is plugged into the computer directly. This is a game changer and allows for easy port expansion. There is no excessive heat from the hub. It works straight out of the box and the ability to daisy chain different sections makes disk storage super easy. I love it.

Happy with my purchase, best price to value ratio for getting another thunderbolt port on my macbook
The Hub works great, plug and play! Speed drop when having two Thunderbolt 4 NVME drives connected is around what's expected, getting ~1.4GB/s per drive still. The 60w power output to the computer is kinda meh, my 16" M1 Max Macbook Pro only keeps charge with it while I'm using it, sometimes even drains a couple percent. But when I take a break from using the computer, it actually charges, so it's good enough to not have to think about having a separate charger connected. Design also feels robust. I should have paid for the guaranteed faster shipping though because with the cheapest shipping it took around 2 months to arrive which is insane. Finally, for other Europeans: I can confirm the PSU that comes with this item supports 100-240v 50/60hz, so you can use it with a passive wall-socket adapter. You could also just buy a new power cord, it's the same cord as big PCs have IIRC (or the one that's similar, that monitors are using. Don't remember exactly and can't unplug it right now)

Works great, fast speeds
Works great and delivers TB4 speeds on all the ports. My laptop has a single TB4 port so this gives me the ability to connect a monitor and TB4 external SSD.

Disappointed
I bought this hub in the thunderbolt 5 version because I have had such a good experience with the thunderbolt 3/4 version. And I have had really good experiences with this brand. Unfortunately, this product was immediately returned. It started losing connections (both video and data) as soon as I started using it. While it is a much better configuration than the 3/4 version (the computer is plugged in on the same side as most of the ports, instead of the opposite side), it is significantly larger than the 3/4 version, even though it has a similar level of ports. Also, the power supply is obviously a lot larger. Part of the reason that I bought it is because I wanted to get more power to the attached computer, so this is not a surprise. Thunderbolt 5 is such a remarkable technology that I’m not surprised it is more difficult. Still this was disappointing. Reading the reviews of the thunderbolt 5 version, I am not surprised that I had this experience. Since the 5 reviews are mixed in among 3/4 reviews, it is frustrating that so much additional research has to be done by the customer.

Nice dock but some eject issues
5-21-25 update: So I purchased another TB5 enclosure (Acasis) and now no ejection issues. While the Acasis uses the same TB5 chip it also supports USB3 which means the circuit board is different from the Trebleet which may account for the difference in function. The hub appears to be fine. 5-2-25 update. I purchased another dock and got the same issue of a TB5 drive ejecting occasionally. I then tested another TB5 drive in an enclosure and the results were similar but less ejects. so appears some impact between drives and hubs and OS. I concluded it is not the fault of the hub or drive alone but a combination of the Apple OS (Sequoia 15.4.1) and TB5 hardware through a hub. Perhaps the TB5 system has not yet been finished in design to understand all the interplay between components. I will add another star back to a 4 star rating on this hub. 4-27-25; After using for some time I find that my TB5 drives will still get ejected when connected to this hub. After ejection they reconnect and work without issue until I remove and once again connect to see they eject . My TB5 drives do not eject if connected directly to my Mac Mini. I also found that any of my TB4 drives do stay connected through the hub so it looks like the TB5 drives draw too much current for this hub. I'm dropping my rating down to 3 stars. Original rating: Got this for my Mac Mini m4 pro to add some additional ports. At first any drive I attached got ejected but after a Reboot all is solid. I found that my TB4 drive shows the same speed as when connected directly to my Mac however my TB5 drive is about 20-25% slower on the write speeds which is common in docks. Dock seems high quality overall in design and features.

This is beautiful
An incredible piece of hardware. This thing is honestly ridiculous (in the best way). I grabbed it for myself as a Christmas gift partly because I actually need it for work, and partly because there’s still a little geek in me that gets excited about great hardware. I’ve come to really trust OWC over time. Their stuff just… works. And this setup feels like the clean, grown-up version of my desk: MacBook Pro 16” (M4 Max) → OWC Thunderbolt 5 Hub → and then whatever I need that day: YubiKey, OWC Express 1M2, drives, peripherals. One cable. That’s the magic. Plug it in and I get everything. Fast storage. Accessories. Power. The whole desk wakes up. Even charging is handled perfectly especially with AlDente Pro keeping the battery sane. For heavy dev work and big data, this feels like turning a laptop into a real workstation without the usual mess. It’s powerful, quiet, and kind of beautiful to look at. That matters more than people admit. Anyway if you’re even considering it, just get it. It’s one of those “why didn’t I do this sooner?” purchases.

2 Thunderbolt monitors works with both Mac pro and PC.
Works smoothly with both MacBook Pro and Windows PCs. I’m running 2 Thunderbolt‑connected monitors with zero issues. Overall, a very solid product.

It was an amazing addition to my work-from-home setup, especially due to the addition of a MacBook Pro M4 Pro. I strongly recommend it. It works flawlessly.
