This desk seems sturdy, and I like the finish of the top surface. It's much more durable and liquid-resistant than the old "picture of wood" veneer on particleboard. The overall build quality is surprisingly strong and good-looking for the price. The whole thing is fairly lightweight once assembled, which may be a good or a bad thing depending on your usage. It's easy to move if you need to, but it might also be easy to tip over just because it's so light.Assembly was quick and simple. I used the instructions but really would only have needed my brain. The included tools were actually adequate for a change; actually the included Allen wrench had a nice T-handle which was much easier to use than my own L-shaped wrenches. No other tools were needed, so I literally assembled the desk with only what came in the box.The only "gotcha" is that you truly will want to wait to tighten the screws until all of them are started. The instructions say to put them in 50%, but I think leaving about 1/8" to 1/4" of thread showing on each bolt is enough to get it all put together. Then go around and tighten everything down.Once finished, the desk is sturdy and functional. It's not an heirloom, but keeping the price in mind, it punches above its class. It's perfect for the small space at the end of my boys' bunk beds and provides another needed study area for our large family.

We got this for $20 and it’s great quality for the price! If you are looking for a compact desk for small work area, GET THIS! Very functional, got this for my daughter to use for her nails (does acrylics) and double as her Homework station. It was easy to build, Done in 10/15 mins. Very sturdy and feels like it will last a while. Perfect height and width for what we need. Easy to wipe down and clean.

These were SUPER EASY to assemble!! They look AMAZING in the rooms!!They fit well in the rooms and they flush close to the wall, leaving a minimum gap.For the most part we have noticed that the desks are sturdy enough to do homework.We usually don't write reviews, but with these desks it was a WINNER from the time we got done assembling!!(We included a photo with a ruler on it to show the an approximate length of the desk.)

I typically don't have high hopes for inexpensive flat pack furniture, but this little desk/side table is both very thoughtfully designed and quite durable. if you plan to put more than a laptop and a second monitor you're going to want a larger size. I just needed a place to drop down my personal laptop in my home office to keep it off my main desk during work. A standard chair fits underneath comfortably and it feels like a standard height, perfectly fine for a few hours writing or working on personal projects.The design is crisp and modern and the thin, sturdy metal base is well reinforced. A bar running the full width of the desk gives the tabletop additional strength so it's not going to sag over time. The hardware is also 100% threaded metal inserts so no risk of stripping out the holes that is often the case with cheap flat pack furniture even from that Swedish meatball place.Assembly was straightforward with the included allen wrench. 15 allen bolts, the whole thing was finished in about 10 minutes and doesn't wobble or sag at all. They even included one extra bolt of each size, a nice touch. Would definitely buy again.

I needed a basic small desk at a low price. This desk is exactly that. I was able to assembly it easily. You could do it without no direction because it is obvious. It is durable as long as you don't put tons of weight on it. Good for a laptop or small desktop. Lower your expectations if you are looking for perfection. It's not reasonable at this price point.
