I always make my own, very rich, Christmas cake and, for years, have also made my own Marzipan (Almond Paste) being a traditionalist and sceptical of commercial made foods. This is a superb product and is also very easy to work with. I found it hard not to keep nipping bits off and eating them, it's so good. Next time I have a cake to ice I'll check with Renshaw to see it they also do a roll-on fondant icing. Normally I make royal Icing but getting on in years am starting to find it all a bit of an effort.

This is the first time I have used Renshaw's marzipan, but it most certainly will not be the last. It is a beautiful product to work with, requiring hardly any kneading before use. It is soft and has the most delicious almond flavour. Easily the best marzipan I have worked with, or tasted.

No seriously, it is. It doesn't have any artificial sweeteners in it like many commercial marzipans do.
