FREEWELL Pro Filmmaker Case for iPhone 16 Pro Max - 17mm Lens & Magnetic Filter Mount Black

After a lot of deliberation and research, I finally opted for Freewell for my iPhone (15 Pro Max) photography. That meant getting this case as it’s needed to attach the various Freewell filters and lenses. So the case itself… excellent. Fits my phone perfectly, looks good, feels well made with quality materials. It also looks great too. Plenty of protection for the iPhone camera, and the Freewell filters clip straight on magnetically with zero fuss. Literally a second to attach or remove. Also the magnets feel strong, so I don’t think they’ll just fall off. The other lenses, telephoto, wide-angle etc screw directly to the case, no need for an adapter. This also means you can use other manufacturers lenses as they use a common thread… apparently. I’ve not tried this yet as I’ve only gone the Freewell route so far. Protection wise, although I’ve not (yet) dropped my phone, I think it will do the job. It isn’t as soft and bouncy as some cases, but it does have a good level of thick protection, without making the phone massive. Also, the buttons feel good, a perfect fit and alignment to the phone buttons and a satisfying level of feedback. So all in all a really nice case. However… my one gripe, and the reason for my 4 stars and not 5, it’s a little bit slippery in my hand. As I said, it’s not as soft and rubbery feeling as some cases, but I find it not as easy to hold in one hand as it slides around a little. That’s ok-ish, until you add the rather heavy lenses, such as the wide-angle one. Then I think it could definitely become an issue if you are not careful. I intend to use my iPhone camera grip when on deliberate photography outings, so it will be fine. But if you do t plan on using a grip I would maybe consider one of the grip tapes, which would kinda spoil the esthetics. Hope that helps. Happy snapping

This is absolutely RIDICULOUS, 78£ for a cover! is it made of platinum? A company like this doesn't deserve people's money, ridiculously overpriced items. For 58£ I got the entire small rig cage, quick release dual handles, and 2 iPhone covers!!! While Freewell asks 78£ for a cover, this should speak volumes about the greed of a company. Last year I bought their vnd, and was vignetting on the wide angle that I had to zoom in to make it go away, but you asked around 70 quid for that it, you guys don't even do basic testing of your own products, but are quick to charge extortionate prices. Just don't give your money to these companies, go with those that have quality at a reasonable price.

Perfect for my heavy 65mm NEEWER lens! Sturdy, good quality, lightweight. Much better than a clamp (which gets easily bumped). Found that my lens is held perfectly in place by this case. Highly recommend!!

The best phone case I have ever used!

Cover fatta veramente bene, uso spesso filtri e obbiettivi (di altre marche) per filmare o scattare foto con il mio Iphone, vestono perfettamente anche con questa della Feerwell. Sarà la mia cover definitiva, robusta e bella esteticamente.

Die Hülle scheint sehr solide zu sein, fügt deswegen aber noch etwas Gewicht zum ohnehin schweren IPhone Pro Max hinzu….Die Objektivgewinde passen einwandfrei! Ich hatte zuvor ein günstigeres und leichteres Gehäuse für das IPhone 12. Leider wird das für das IPhone 16 nicht mehr hergestellt… Und Apple musste ja unbedingt 1-2 mm hinzufügen 🙈 Jeder, der ein externes Objektiv verwenden möchte, ist mit der Hülle viel besser beraten, als mit der mitgelieferten Klammer! Das Objektiv sitzt plan auf und nichts verrutscht! Insofern eine klare Kaufempfehlung!
