Dried Bolete Mushrooms, 1 Pound Box

As another reviewer mentioned, they do seem to be a bit sandy. I rinsed mine off really well before soaking them, and that seemed to help. Given the great price for a pound of these babies, I'm not going to complain about a little grit. The flavor is excellent; sweet, pungent, and umami. They're perfect for mushroom broth and making pho!

These are defiantly the mushrooms for my Christmas Eve Valia soup, however I wish the pieces were bigger with less debris. I found several small rocks in the mushroom pieces when I was rehydrating . It could have been a dental disaster If I wasn't super careful. For the price it was worth the effort.

I love the super aromatic and dense texture of these nutrient-rich mushrooms. One has to be careful to rinse and separate out other plant/bark.

Very disappointed! I rinsed the mushrooms well before trying to pick out the bits of dried grass. There was lots of grit and dried grass. Very tough stems included that could not be chewed no matter how long they were soaked or cooked. I have received dried mushrooms from another source which were clean and without all the other junk included. I cannot recommend these dried mushrooms.

OK, kind of small pieces with a lot of fine pieces, but quite a bit of product for the $$$

I used to make Polish Cabbage soup for Christmas Eve! Will continue to purchase each and every year!

Good value for price. I searched everywhere for these mushrooms because they are THE special ingredient of 2 family recipes. I am so happy to have found these!
