Review: because where it's best is in episodic shenanigans - So here's the thing about BBB - it doesn't have much in the way of a longterm plot. The anime tried for one, and that was honestly a weak point for me, because where it's best is in episodic shenanigans. Character interactions, exploring little corners of a suggested wider world, and fights that are big and impressive and explosive but not the climax of a long buildup - this is just the kind of thing that happens in this city. The manga is content with this and enjoyable for it. Season 1 of the anime ends in the beginning of volume 6 of the manga (though it skips some things), so I bought 6 and 7. Volume 6 covers: - The lunch chapter, where Leo, Zapp and new member Zed attempt to find somewhere to eat, facing increasingly ridiculous obstacles, and it's probably my favourite episode of the anime. There are some extra parts here (including a little tiny bit of KK involvement) and some expressive art. - A chapter heavily featuring Chain and partially explaining the nature and extent of her abilities! We also get to meet some friends of hers as they attempt to pull off a tricky mission and not die. - A chapter which jumps off from Klaus's membership in a gardening club otherwise full of senior citizens (mainly centres on him, though the rest of Libra make appearances), and also includes a gang war. More than just a fight manga.

Wonderful, great characters and a great story
Wonderful, great characters and a great story, Beautifully drawn and love the imagined idea with alien aliens and delightful twists of humour. More than just a fight manga.
