Non-standard use - but it worked *great*
Here in Montana, the temperatures have been below zero, sometimes as negative as -29 degrees F this year.Aaaand, our gas furnace air intake has been frosting over and/or solid inside, which creates a partial vacuum in the intake as the intake fan tries to oxygenate the combustion chamber, which the furnace controller (quite rightly) determines is not sufficient for safe / efficient combustion, and BANG, we have no heat.So the bottom line is that the intake pipe frosts over on the end, and on the way into the house. We were having a heck of a time getting it clear, and believe me, you do NOT want your pipes to freeze at -29 degrees F!This snake seemed like - and turned out to be - a great answer. It reaches well into the house, around a pretty sharp curve, where the intake pipe temperature is much more reasonable as it is absorbing the interior's heat, and the pipe is cleared out in seconds.Total win. This snake will never see a drain. :)

Remember to twist at the same time you push. Helps with going through bends and curves.
I read the reviews and was still iffy about buying this item. Once I used it and realized it's so easy to do, that everyone needs this around the house for small house hold clogs. Anyone can use this, it did the job that I needed done and saved me alot of money today and future clogs. For this price it worth it.

It works!
No assembly required, and very lightweight. It worked like a charm, and I saved a bundle on plumber's bills. It is also easy to store. Highly recommend as part of anyone's housekeeping equipment.

Too short to be useful
Product was delivered quickly on schedule. Tried to use it in toilet. Was too short to do any good. Not sure where it might work in bathroom.

Limited use for most drains
This product is too stiff and inflexible to bend through typical drain pipes in bath tubs, wash basins or kitchen sinks ... making it useful only for larger drain pipes.
